I’ve been using Sports Research Multi Collagen for the last 6 months and I LOVE it! My skin is brighter and my ligaments feel better! If I miss a day or two, I definitely can tell. Female. 32. No children. I started taking hydrolyzed collagen in February 2025. My friend bought me a bag from Trader Joe’s and when that was finished I found a container of the Sports Research Hydrolyzed collagen at Homegoods and gave it a shot. I really didn’t notice anything but I figured it takes time. I decided to try the capsules because it thought it would be convenient and easy. Well I’m very forgetful and you take them three times a time so most days I can take all three if I’m lucky but a lot of times I end up only taking two a day. With that being said I have recently started noticing my nails growing very long and not breaking or becoming brittle on the edges. I have never had strong nails and have even let them stay long for several weeks to see if they will naturally break, tear or catch on anything. So far minimal need for cleaning up the edges. My goals for taking the collagen were to have stronger, healthier hair and skin. I would say it’s a positive sign to see it working on the nails first. Read more
UPDATE 11/28/2024 I've been taking this supplement for over 6 months and less scalp shows through my part. My fingernails don't bend when I trim them; they clip off as they should. I think this is a great product for my needs. I would also note that I've been vegetarian, and trending towards vegan, for years. So maybe this product works for me because I had a nutritional deficit. Hate to compromise my planet-friendly values but hate worse turning into an uggo. So sue me. ORIGINAL - May 2024 My hair had been falling out in bunches and suddenly my scalp was showing through. 90% of my waking thoughts were about female pattern baldness, and yeesh, makes you feel so washed up.and miserable. So in desperation I decided to start taking collagen. A pharmaceutical scientist I know tells me that most supplements pass right through you and are a total waste of money. So, I was skeptical, but desperate. (what a horrible place to be, btw). I didn't really have any hopes that this would do anything. You look at yourself every day in the mirror and don't see the change right away. But several of my colleagues have been marveling that my hair looks thick and luxuriant. Yess! I'll take it! I look again and I have more hair, and the diameter of the shafts are definitely thicker. I haven't added any other supplements or used any different hair care products so it has to be this. jury is out on these, however I use this brands powdered collagen every morning, 2 scoops a day equaling 22 grams not Mgs but grams and have been for over a year. However the powder is only type 1 & 3. I bought these pills for the other types of collagen. Being on the wrong side of 70, I''ll take all the help I can get. Not losing my hair, my bones are strong and trying to keep my skin from sagging (due to too much sun in my youth). So far the powder is doing its job, I hope these pills provide benefits to my joints as well. Will update Read more
