My husband would always complain when he was out hunting about his feet being cold. He would usually have to cut his time short because he couldn't stand it. We have purchased so many different hunting boots and wool socks and they have never really worked out for him. Got this for him as a early hunting season gift I guess lol. He absolutely loved them. The lasted longer than expected and heat up fairly quickly. Doesn't take too long for batteries to charge and just feels like a normal thick sock can't tell the battery pack is in the side. Read more
Pros: -Comes with the batteries and charger. Both batteries charged by one plug. -When worn, power, control, and socks are all self-contained -The socks themselves are thick and pretty warm; you may need to adjust your shoes on account of the thickness -They do keep you from getting frostbite but they're either too hot or not warm enough Cons: -Expensive -An in-between high and medium setting would be really really nice -The part that heats only heats a very small zone on top of your feet near your toes -Handwash only -Difficult to change the power settings when tucked into the pouch at the top of the sock So I want to start out with simply this. It works. I wanted to keep my feet from freezing when outside. I like to hang around the firepit with friends, especially when its cold, but the fire doesn't do a good job of hitting my feet, so they're always cold. Enter the heated socks solution. When combined with my GoreTex hiking boots (Salomon), my feet do not freeze. They're either uncomfortably hot (on high setting) or they don't feel "warm" per se just not freezing (on medium) but not much in between. High is a little scary, kind of like when the water is turned just a little too hot and you turn it down to feel more at ease. Medium is curious though... that the whole time I'm out there I'll think, "they're not working or something." But once I'm inside and the shoes come off, I notice that my feet are very slightly sweaty in the exact spot that the heating element is. And my feet don't sweat. The small batteries that come with are easy enough to operate and self-explanatory when it comes to plugging in and charging. They don't come charged so do be sure to do a full charge cycle when you receive them. The batteries when plugged in fit into a small pocket near the cuff. You won't feel them when they're tucked in. Problem is, you also can't get to them when you're wearing heavy pants in the cold. So if you need to change the settings you'll need to either fumble around and hope you didn't turn them off, or just take your pants down to reach the batteries that are at calf height. All in all, would I buy them again? Probably will look for a different option, and mainly because of the not so effective placement of the heating element. Its a convenient design in the sense that the batteries are small and the entire thing is self-contained with no wires hanging out. But not being able to reach the controls is inconvenient as is the large gap of heat between high and medium. If the heating element was more optimally placed or more widely distributed, I'd have much less to complain about. Despite saying I would look for a different option, I won't be until these are no longer of any use. As I said earlier, they do work; my feet do not freeze, I'm just looking for "better." Whatever that may be. Read more
I bought a pair for my husband. He didn't really give them a chance. THen his job took him to Calgary and he realized that if you have multiple pairs and multiple batteries (to keep back up batteries in your pocket) then you can have clean socks AND back up batteries and charge them all every night and never have numb feet again. SO, he asked for more socks, he took them to the Olympics where it was subzero most days and he was a happy camper. Read more
The socks are great. I got to use them for one day. They kept my feet warm when I went to recharge the batteries on them and I was gone for a few hours to a Christmas party. I come back in my room was full of smoke and the batteries caught on fire burst in the flames and it’s lucky I didn’t burn my house down Read more

When I received my socks, I tried them on. I ordered a large hoping they would not be too big. The fit as I wear a womens 8. The socks started to heat up but were on the top of the foot. I was not sure about this. Then I went on a 3 1/2 hour motorcycle ride in 40 degree weather. They were awesome!! I love that they warmed on the top of my foot. I did not get cold toes once on the trip to and back home. Well work the price and worked amazing. Read more
Used them for the first time today. Worked very good as it was only about 20° outside today. Gonna be only 10° tomorrow so I'll charge the batteries tonite Read more
They produce some warmth but the issue is mainly the batteries they was bulky which makes it uncomfortable to wear. Maybe find a way to slim the battery, socks overall great quality and thick so they work as socks even without the batteries Read more
