The workmanship and timeless styling make these boots a must-have that can be worn season after season. The understated chiseled square toes are not too pointy, not too wide, and the low block heels give enough height to flatter, whilst remaining comfortable to walk on, plus the stylish toggle-closure ankle straps add just enough decoration to elevate them from basic to badass. They'll look good in the city or on a ranch. However, the ankle straps will be an obstruction if wearing pants or jeans over the boots, unless they hit just above the straps. But they're perfect with long leggings or skinny jeans tucked inside, which is why I ordered them. My above-ankle leggings look a bit odd because of the gap between them and the boots, although that's a hip look for people younger than me. Fit: I always wear size 8 boots, which accommodate socks, and these are just right, with a little wiggle room for the toes. The foot is very comfortable to wear and walk on; however, I found them a bit uncomfortable around the ankles until I found the right socks. Sizing is correct 7.5. My wife is either a 7 or 7.5 and for boots, and she usually goes for size 7.5 and wears thicker socks. And these fit as expected for this size. We both really like the style. The metal buckle is a nice feature and seems impossible to unbuckle it, which is good. And the zipper makes getting in and out of them very easy. She appreciates the square shape of the toe box. These are a not sharp tipped boots where the toes can get cramped together, or the toe extends way forward beyond the edges of your toes. So these are comfortable boot that you can wear pretty much all day. The 'Premium smooth upper' feels very similar to soft real leather, but it won't be as durable. The sole is entirely one single piece, so it does not have harder rubber touching the ground, so this part will be the biggest wear point. The only complaint is that the top edge in the front is rough and kind of sharp, so unless you are wearing socks that go above the top of the boot, the front of your ankle will grind against this edge causing discomfort. These are flexible and comfortable, easy to style and the sizing is accurate. I chose this brown color to go with cute little skirts or dresses, long or short. Very versatile for casual or dressier occasions. I feel like the quality of the workmanship is good but for vegan leather, I thought it was a little on the higher end. We’ll see how these hold up.
