Staedtler makes fantastic transparency markers and these wet erase markers follow in that tradition. Vibrant colour and clear lines make them a joy to work with. The Good: Eight bright, vivid pens offer a gamut of options. I use these primarily for tabletop role-playing games and occasionally academic purposes. The fine points provide excellent detail-work without breaking down, and the smooth flow of ink makes for clean, clear art or words. These clean up like a dream. Apply some water or cleaner to the mat, and wipe. Colours will potentially stain if left on a surface for a long time, but I have yet to encounter problems with red, purple, black, or blue left for any length of time. The plastic storage container is sturdy and helpful. The MId: Due to the fine point, these pens struggle at creating thicker lines or broader strokes. You really need to apply pressure (not ideal) or go back over your work to see broader lines. I would prefer a mid-tip but finding them is very difficult. I ordered these pens along with the 10 pack box of black 0.4mm Staedtler Lumnocolor non-permanent pens, and two packs of Dry Erase 5x8 inch index cards (Apostrophie Games brand). My plan was to create scene cards that I could put into an ancient steel card file I use for organizing my writing. The colors are vibrant, the lines are very fine and clear and allow for fine print writing as I outline my novel and organize it. The ink does not smear on the cards, even when I rub it with my fingers trying to smear it. It cleans off easily and quickly with damp cloth for corrections or re-use of the cards after I have finalized my idea and scanned it or moved to a paper card. I was looking for a pen that I could use for outlining my novel on dry erase board, I needed something that would give me the same fine line I get from my normal writng pen, and these exceeded my best hope for what I might be able to find. Highly reccomended for anyone looking for a good wet-erase extra-fine point writing pen. I am very satisfied with these pens and was pleasantly surprised to discover they are in a hardshell case with flip-top end that folds open to allow very easy access to the pens while keeping them organised in my desk. These work great on our wall calendar. They are medium point-fine enough to fit in a lot of words but still visible when we're across the room. The wording printed on the side of the pens comes off on our hands, though. It's pretty messy. Read more

I can take down tons of info on a white board with my small handwriting and it won't smudge off by accident like wipe erase will. Clean is a bit complex as it will stain if left too long and will require rubbing alcohol to remove completely compared to water. Magic eraser works well too. Long lasting. I use these 5/7 days a week and have had them for over a year ; great value. Great for color organization, no colors are too similar. The brown bleeds but the others work without being too wet to dry in a reasonable time. When I try to erase what I just wrote, I can only erase a small part due to quick dry times. I use wet erase markers on my vinyl battlemats for tabletop gaming and need to have the colors be vibrant enough to see and then completely disappear when properly wiped off. Too many inexpensive off brands leave permanent marks behind or smear all over the vinyl. Not so with these high quality markers! Battlemats clean up beautifully with little effort and they never smear. Now if they would only make an actual medium bullet tip for thicker line creations. I'm not writing with them so the fineness of the point is less important than the color quality. Plastic holder for the markers is designed for quick access and also properly secures the pens for transport. Would buy again and will recommend to my fellow gamers. Read more
