Stainless steel rice cooker insert with lid and rice spoon

I don’t own the rice cooker this insert was designed for, so I can’t comment on how well it fits or how it performs for that function. I got it because I needed a stainless steel bowl of that size with a good lid. It is well made, shiny mirror finish stainless steel. The lid fits well and has a vent hole for steam. It functions well as a mixing bowl with a tight lid. There is a measuring cup included however I find the lines and numbers very difficult to read without a magnifying glass. The rice paddle spoon seems to be well designed for that purpose, if you need to spoon rice from a bowl. I will probably be using it to proof bread dough, not for cooking rice, since I have another cooker for that purpose. The shiny surface makes it easy to clean. Read more

Great replacement pot for the JBV-A10U!

A fitting upgrade for my favorite rice cooker. I cook almost everything in this cooker, sometimes even rice. Of course things stick a bit more than the non-stick, but the stainless is surprisingly easy to clean. Worst case it needs a few minutes to soak with hot water, and it's clean. This kit has a spare measuring cup and rice spoon which is great, you can wash one set while the other is in use. The lid was something I didn't think I'd use, wrong, it's so handy to be able to put the pot on the table, and keep it warm, and keep things out of it. The Tiger JBV-A10U is my favorite rice cooker (I have 2 of them!) and the stainless bowl is a great upgrade! Read more
