A great addition to the Star Wars: Battlefront series! Sadly there isn't going to be another one but this game is fun for solo play or multiplayer. Best part is you can play it with a group of friends and go all at it. Good variety in classes, vehicles, and maps. They did a great amount of work to fix what they had done in the 1st game and I wish they would have transferred all the maps over but overall it's bigger and badder than before especially with space battles now. I would suggest this to anyone that enjoyed the 1st one and I would suggest this if you just like stars wars and FPS with a small RPG in it. Read more

If you have a PSP and a console system get it for the console, the Playstation 2 version has Campaign Mode which takes you from the Clone Wars to the Rebellion and is probably the greatest thing lacking from the PSP version. There are more maps in console version, you can go inside the large ships and sabotage the inner workings of the vessel, the gameplay is a lot more fun when you don't have to switch between weapons and can only use one weapon at a time (which is how the PSP is set up). Sniping and aiming in general is much easier with a second analog stick. All in all this game is amazing and is a lot better than the PSP version. Read more

Heavily scratched on front and back, very disappointing. I love battlefront so much and got it for my ps2, but when I put it in the system, it wouldn't read. To be sure it was just the game and not the ps2 I tested all of my other games and everything worked fine except for this. God does this game bring me back to simpler times. I used to pray that my mom drive me home faster to start playing this game! It's sooo much fun and I still play it to this day. If you enjoy dogfights in space, well you're in luck! If you think being a Jedi and fighting the Sith is awesome or wanna give into the Dark Side of the Force, well go for it in Mos Eisley Hero Assault mode. It spans two eras: The Galactic Civil War era (the one with the rebels and empire), and the Clone Wars era(the one with the clones fighting the Droid army). Being able to pick from different classes is great so you can really do what fits you best like: an Imperial foot soldier with the standard Blaster Rifle, Blaster Pistol, and grenades, A Rebel Smuggler with a Shotgun since you wanna be really up close with this class and with a plasma slicer to fix or sabotage enemy vehicles, or be an Assassin Droid and hide in the distance with your trusty sniper rifle and turret to watch your back in case you're spotted. This game is really more fun with friends so find someone and either save or conquer the galaxy! This is the best game made for the PS2. I don't why it got relatively average reviews. It has 24 man dedicated servers online, awesome campaign, balanced maps, balanced factions, heroes are fun, fun game modes, you can talk to players on the other team online (!!), you can roll (!!), virtually no hackers, blends the storyline of the Star Wars universe successfully with a 3rd/1st person shooter (switchable!!), switchable controls, easy to learn controls, epic music and audio, installable mods to make the field more even, buddy list, superior chatting system. I chose this rating for my son enjoys it a lot and at his age he says it is very challenging and very focused on playing it. He likes how you must come up with strategies, along with the fast pace of the game play and the many characters your allowed to play. graphic's is okay, being that it is PS 2 game though he is not really concerned about super graphics in a game like most people today, just likes the fun. the different battle modes you are able to play is also a plus. the one thing that could say not so good is the space fighting, just difficult to play space battles.
