I ordered this for my 13 year old grandson who love to play music on different instruments. This is the best thing! He loves it. It makes the coolest sounds. I think it would be great for any age. I bought this steel drum for a gift for my college age granddaughter. She loves to sing and I thought she would love learning to play this with her Bible study friends . It is not too heavy for her and it comes in a nice carrying bag, for easy transport. I can see how it would be a lovely edition to a camping trip or picnic too. I LOVE THIS DRUM!! The quality is amazing, the sound is so pretty, all the accessories that come with it are great! We keep ours on our coffee table and EVERY person who walks by it plays it, multiple times a day, its so fun and so calming!
