Such a beautiful sound
The NBMICSO steel tongue rain drum is absolutely amazing. Even in the middle of summer, I couldn’t wait to try it, so I set it up with my hose—and the sound is incredible. The tones are rich, soothing, and almost magical. I can only imagine how beautiful it will be during a real rainfall. I’m genuinely excited to sit outside, relax, and enjoy the natural music it creates. Read more

As another reviewer noted, this drum has notes in the key of D (D, E, F#, G, A, B, C#). And the smaller tongues on the outside are correspondingly one octave higher than the larger tongues to which they are adjacent. The center tongue is an octave lower F#. And the notes are right on the money to being in exact tune. Amazing accuracy, although the center tongue is a little mushy, due no doubt to its weird outline). Beautiful sound quality. The one drawback is that they don't say what key it is in, and the only way to discover that is to buy it and find out or hunt down the answer in the feedbacks. I deducted a star because while it was carefully packaged, and the bag with which it is enclosed is also of fine quality, the opening is zippered, with two zipper sliders (also a great way to design it, at least theoretically), BOTH sliders (metal!) were smashed into little bits, which looked like someone took a hammer to them. I chalk that up to a saboteur in the factory, a very unfortunate situation. I tried to see if they could just send me a couple new sliders, but there was no way to get ahold of them, Amazon would not provide any way to do so, and my only option was to return it. It took a long time for delivery and with no way to know if the replacement would also have smashed zipper sliders, I decided to keep it, and am currently trying to get zipper repair sliders (also from Amazon). If the replacement sliders work, I will update this review later. Read more

Great Sound in the Shower
I love my steel tongue drum. I play keyboard and I sing. This helps me with my pitch. Very easy to learn to play. However, the songs in the song book I’ve never heard. But they are fun to learn. I also use it in the shower. The water hitting the different notes is very relaxing. Read more
