The SteelSeries Alias Pro Kit exceeded my expectations. The XLR microphone delivers clear, warm, and professional sound—perfect for streaming or recording. The included mixer makes it easy to control volume, gain, and mute with great convenience. Setup is simple, and the Sonar software lets you fine-tune the audio to your liking. It feels solid and well-built, with high-quality materials. Since I started using it, my voice sounds much clearer and more natural. Definitely an excellent choice for anyone looking to take their sound to the next level. Read more

The media could not be loaded. The alias is a good quality microphone that is easily plug-in. Played the important thing to note is that if you want to use the other features that it offers you’ll have to download steel series Gg which is their third-party application to control any and all steel series devices. If you have a boom arm, I recommend setting the microphone to boom arm mode this way It doesn’t pick up all of the little bumps that you make on your desk when recording. Broadcast setting is good if you want clear podcast quality audio and for the game mix just pick your favorite game and it’ll automatically adjust for you. Also, make sure that when you first click sonar that you choose the little slider at the bottom to either be fully near the controller icon if you wanna hear more of the game or fully toward the little chat bubble, if you wanna hear your friends or other players in game. Very nice build quality, and it sounds amazing. Great upgrade from my old microphone, and the control box is very helpful for adjusting volume etc. without having to switch applications. The stand has some weight to it and is nice, but I prefer a boom arm. Comes with an adapter so it will screw onto most arms, which is great. Very satisfied with it, but I would recommend waiting until it goes on sale. Read more

The Alias Pro microphone itself is fantastic — crystal clear audio, great build quality, and well worth the price if you're serious about sound. It easily competes with other high-end mics and has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance. That said, the SteelSeries GG software is a different story. It's bloated and intrusive. The "Sonar" feature keeps hijacking my default audio output every time I restart my PC, even after disabling it. It feels like I'm fighting the software just to use my own setup. To make things worse, the "Moments" feature seems to keep recording clips in the background, even when I’ve turned it off. There's no easy way to fully disable or rebind the default hotkeys, which is just bad design. Compared to Logitech's Blue mic software, which is lightweight and stays out of the way, SteelSeries GG feels overly aggressive. I wish the software was more modular and user-friendly — it drags down what is otherwise an incredible microphone. If you’re okay dealing with some frustrating software or are willing to spend time managing workarounds, this mic is a powerhouse. Just be aware that out of the box, it comes with software that might not respect your settings. Read more

Arguably my favorite mic to ever own. The quality for the price is definitely there. The addition of the desk stand is really handy, as I can use the stand as a hand held for doing video projects and green screen stuff. Once you get used to steel series software and it's quirks, the microphone and software handles pretty much everything else. Read more

I hate headphones, so I have always preferred a mic. The noise cancellation is impressive. I typically listen to music at about 70 dB, and the mic hears me clearly. The software thoroughly filters out the music and ambient noise to the point that I hear nothing but my own voice. The build quality is sleek and modern, with just enough RGB to not be excessive. It is pretty much plug and play to set it up, so it is very easy to set up and use, plug in, and the software download is simple. I would say the mic itself isn't going to print out a symphony, but to normal ears like mine, it's better than enough to get the job done for a gamer. Overall, I got it for a discount of $150, which I think is a good price for it. Normal pricing seems worth it too, if you consider the extraordinary software that is free to download, you technically don't even need the hardware to use the software. Read more

The audio quality of this microphone is an amazing value. I was concerned at first because of the price I originally was going to go for a cheaper option, but now that I have it I'm super happy I went this way. All of my friends were shocked at how amazing I sounded. You just take it right out of the box and plug it in with the included type c cable and you're good to go, super simple setup. I absolutely love the LED choices with the mute button and tasteful rgb on the bottom which gives it a professional look without compromising style. The on device gain controls are also nice and the associated software is nice as well for adjusting noise gate sensitivity and such. Read more
