SteelSeries Rival 650 Quantum Wireless – Absolutely Worth It

LifewmattDecember 7, 2025

The SteelSeries Rival 650 Quantum Wireless is hands down one of the best mice I’ve ever used. The buttons feel extremely comfortable and responsive, and I love how variably you can map each one. The DPI settings are incredible as well — you get super precise fine-tuning options, and their software/applications run smoothly without any issues. For the price, the value for money here is amazing. Everything feels premium, especially with the removable/addable weights, which really give the mouse a more official and customizable feel. Whether you’re gaming or working, this mouse performs insanely well. Highly recommend. Read more

(Careful before buy)

ZachMarch 29, 2025

This gaming mouse is my all time favorite. Especially with FPS games and needing consistency. Battery life is good and easy to charge. Feels good, with simplified thumb buttons and a good feeling right and left click. Scroll wheel has ridges so it is easy to turn only the amount you need for inventory games. BEWARNED! This mouse is amazing and I will aways use it but it has a terrible shelf life. Any where from 3 weeks to 9 months WILL BREAK WITHIN A YEAR. If used daily for fps. It is the same problem, the right click button will break, meaning the right click will stay in the down position and the click will not work. I have bought about half a dozen replacements in 3 to 4 years due to the right click breaking. Great mouse, great performance, easy software, terrible shelf life. Take the good with the bad, and consider before buying. Read more

Cut the cable! Jump on the Wireless Hype Train.

DevinNovember 25, 2018

The Rival 650 Wireless Edition is by far the greatest mouse I have ever picked up. Starting with the build design and aesthetics, it is very nice to look at. With that being said, the RGB is just fine as well, adds a really nice touch but I am more focused on the performance of the mouse. I purchased this mouse to complete my laptop gaming setup that has just now become that much more portable and easy to setup. I paired this device with my Razer Blade 15 and it was an immediate plug and play, I took the USB dongle and I was ready to go right out the gate. It even came with a full-charged battery, which was very nice of them! For the grip, I always have used claw grip; with a hand size of around 7.2 inches from finger tip to palm, this mouse is just perfect for me. Anybody with larger hands will surely enjoy this product if that's what they're searching for. The grip is just fabulous, from the silicone side panels to the slip resistant tops of mouse1 and mouse2, this is just so comfortable to use for longer periods of time. I am glad that I chose this mouse over the Logitech G Pro Wireless. The Logitech G Pro was just too light and small for me to feel like I was in control. This mouse is similar to a Razer Deathadder if it were wireless, which is my favorite mouse of all time. However, I can see that view changing as I use the Steelseries Rival 650 more often. When it comes to price point, I picked this up for just $83.99 brand new on Black Friday and could not be happier. At this price point, especially when discounted, it is a luxury grade wireless mouse for the price of your average top-tier gaming mice. In my opinion, it surpasses the previous mice that I have used all while cutting the cord! I have a free range of motion and do not even have to think about where the cord restricts me, gaming on a laptop. This is the most impressive thing of all, that the sensor is this accurate and so easy to use, it feels just as good to use during gaming sessions as the top-tier mice on the market. I hope that I have done a good job documenting what is on the packaging and more importantly, what is inside the box. Hope this helped you guys who are considering making the jump to wireless. I was looking through the market for a while waiting to jump on the wireless mouse train, but hesitant to spend the hefty price of around $80-120. But in the end, I believe it was worth it and recommend those who have larger hands looking to find the wireless mouse build just for them (As long as you're right handed, lol.) In conclusion, it's perfect for the laptop gamer like myself that wants a powerful and efficient gaming setup that you can put anywhere. I will put a quick little list of pros and cons about this mouse below. Pros: Wireless Heavier - More control at higher DPI Effortless Setup Quick Charging (Just as Advertised) Sleek Design Satisfying Clicks Programmable Buttons! (+5 Excluding M1 + M2) Cons: Takes an unusual amount of time to wakeup Heavy, starting at 121g (For some this is a con) Liftoff is very sensitive, searching for any dip or bump in your pad - becomes shaky, however, I do not notice this in game; only when screwing around with the sensor on desktop Read more

Good mouse

AlliJune 22, 2025

The media could not be loaded. I bought this mouse and right out of the box liked the feeling of it and the look of it. Coming from a previous G502 it was important for me that the mouse had weights,so that I can customize it based on my style, that’s why I went for this specific more expensive version. My first attempt to use it tho,was a total disappointment. The house would not connect properly and would disconnect mid game, multiple times, even when connected with the cable. And the side plastic moved too much and made is uncomfortable. Ordered a replacement just because I wanted to give it another chance. Got my replacement super quick and now I don’t have any of the issues that I had. So far loving it. My only negative comments are 2. 1) about the weights themselves.. I think that they are kinda bulky and a different design might need to be considered, because they have kinda a hard time to stay in place in the way too small silicon slots that the mouse has, so either modify the weights of the slots on the mouse for it. 2) when you set the DPI there is no way for you to know exactly which one you are on,especially if you have them very close in the settings.. so it would be nice to have like a light change or something that tells you which DPI are you on at the moment, in order to have under control at all times and avoid problems from accidental clicks mid game. Other that that ,the mouse is great. Read more
