I have tried many mask before and this one is by far the best. I do not have a skinny head and I like good amount of heat especially for my migraines. Let me tell you about this mask as I am wearing it currently. Turning it on is simple to do any heats up well within 30 seconds for high heat. The mask is lose fitting even for larger size heads and doesnt press on your eye sockets either. When wearing the mask it covers the upper cheek bones and your full upper part of the forhead and all the way back to your ears! Yes you read it right to the ears! This mask would be great for migraines, tension, sty eyes, even EAR ACHES! The timer goes for 90 minutes. The cord is very long so easy to move around with it in bed when sleeping. When its running there is no odor like hot wires or anything. Flexible and relaxed fitting. There is literally only 2 things I wish this mask was different. I wish thr timer was like for 4 hrs, since I like to sleep with mine on all night and I wish the cord was in a different place. This is a really good mask. I suffer from migraines and this is an absolute necessity. I recommend it to anyone that gets frequent migraines. A lot of nights, this is the only relief I can get. It is super soft and comfy. It is adjustable. I like the fact that you can adjust the temperature and set a time limit. The mask does cover enough of your face that it does completely block out light. I bought this due to a cervicogenic headache that came on. I love that I can put this on and wear it while I sleep. It has timer settings in 15, 30, 45, 60, and 90 minute increments. I do wish that the pad wrapped entirely around my head, because I really need the heat to be on the lower base of my skull (near my C1 vertebrae). The back portion is made with two stretchy elastic straps. The pain I have from this headache radiates from my left eye all the way to the base of my skull (high left side of my neck). I did shift it tot he side instead of wearing it on my face as shown. That was effective, but then the power cord did hang on the side of my face, or have me sleeping on that if I tried to lay on my side. Still, it's been beneficial in relaxing my neck muscle and alleviating my headache. The heated pad portion is really soft, lightweight, and it is comfortable. I did order a large, because it did cost less. I don't have an abnormally large skull, and it fit just fine. :) No weird smells that were noticeable and seems high quality for the price tag. Edit: changing my 3 star review to a 1 star. This is a very dangerous product. It burnt one of my expensive pillows and melted to the fabric. Calling this a “moist heat” mask is quite misleading. When I opened the package, it came with a mini empty spray bottle which I thought was odd. Upon reading the instructions, it says “for moist heat, finely mist the inside of the mask with water”. If the mask doesn’t provide moist heat on its own, you probably shouldn’t call it a moist heat mask. I think it’s also odd how the ad doesn’t include any pictures or mention of the spray bottle, which again leads me to believe they are trying to mislead people. To put it shortly, this product beats any of the other heated masks I’ve tried because it doesn’t have to charge. It also heats a MUCH larger surface area rather than just your eye lids. I have major sinus problems and this is the only thing that soothes it, used in conjunction with disposable eye compresses for sanitary reasons. The value for the money is incredible, I do not notice any weird smell (if you do you should probably wash the cover) and I recommend having a barrier between your eyes and the mask like a cloth to keep the mask sanitary the longest.
