I really like these shelves. I was able to put them together by myself, without difficulty, they seem sturdy and serve the purpose well. No complaints on my end. I was very pleasantly surprised with this shelving unit. It is quite sturdy. I got it yesterday - in the USPS mail, put it together and put a lot of stuff on its shelves right away. It was so easy to put together. It came with an instruction book with illustrations where each part goes, (in multiple languages) and it came with a little hex wrench that did the job well. It came with the correct # of parts as well! I am in my 60's have arthritis all over and had no problem doing the assembly alone. It's not heavy, surprisingly. There are a packet of wall anchors if you want to make the shelving unit even more stable. A nice bonus since I live in an area that has about 8 small earthquakes a day (Anchorage). Shelving was easy to assemble. Probably took 20 minutes and had clear instructions (I was watching a video so I didn’t pay attention to exactly how long it took). It was narrower than I anticipated but it kind of works out for me. I didn’t realize it was as tall as it was either. It’s also incredibly sturdy. In my photo, the top left box has 5 6-packs of Diet Coke in it. The bottom has two boxes of heavy books and it could hold a lot more. It’s also standing well on carpet and I didn’t even use the included wall hook. I’m pretty impressed overall and I know it could be easily disassembled and reassembled which is really nice! Let me be upfront, I’m using this as a towel rack so if you’re looking for something more on the industrial side my review is not for you! (Though in my opinion it is very sturdy once you complete it!) I like to organize my reviews so the first thing I’m going to talk about is building the shelf & then I’ll talk about my use of it. I can say for myself that I’m nifty when it comes to building things. My mom always thought it was important that her girls knew how to do “manly” things or so she called it. And all I can say about this is I didn’t enjoy putting it together. It was simple enough, just tedious. For a half a second, I thought it was too flimsy but like I said once you get it all together it becomes stable/ sturdy. I would advise not to open it until you truly have the energy to put it together because I honestly think it took so long just because I felt like crap and didn’t really have the energy to be building anything. But I guess that should tell you how easy it really is because someone who wasn’t feeling good was able to put altogether within an hour or so. Now let’s talk about the features! First off it’s a shelf so there’s not much to go off but that the shelves are narrow. Luckily it makes up for it with being so tall & having 5 shelves you can stack things on. Even though I’m using mine for my towels and washcloths I do like at the bottom they give you an extra space so if you were to have tall items you can absolutely use this shelf! It also comes with some tools so if you wanted to nail down the shelf or keep it in place you can, I didn’t know that so if it’s in the description I must have overlooked that part. It was a nice little detail that I appreciate to find when purchasing items like these. Lastly, I want to point out the weight and stability of this shelf & I’ll be done. It’s very light and I promise you if I can move it everyone should be able to move it. I like that because I almost lost a family member to a freak accident with a book/tv entertainment shelf. It’s nice to have sturdy big shelves until you have it falling over onto your little cousin, who is safe & alive today, but was really damaged at the time. I say all that to say you won’t have to worry about something like that with this. It’s lightweight, and though at first felt flimsy, just needed to be nailed together right! It definitely feels like it hold together for heavier items. Again not to be a repeater, but I’m only using this for towels however I’m already thinking of buying another one for my dad who’s a real handy man. I think it looks decent enough & will clean up his garage full of tools nicely! So, overall I give this shelf a 4/5! It’s tall, stable, & not bad to look at! Love that it’s light and doesn’t take up much room. If you’re looking for something quick & neat, I think you found it! The shelf came in the smallest box, I thought maybe I ordered the wrong shelf. Nope, it was light weight and perfect to carry in the house with a messed up finger and thumb on my dominant hand, they feel broken and arthritis damage I mention this so you understand the ease of the shelf assembly. It came with the Allen wrench and I love that the shelves come in the half sizes so the box isn't big and bulky like others. The material is light weight and the plastic sleeves on the parts highlight and show the shelf assembled and color coded to show you where on the rack they will fit so it was easy to lay out items from the bottom to the top. The simple design is thoughtful it's black and will blend in with the black and stainless appliances in the kitchen to hold some items since there aren't many cabinets. I was able to fit a lot on the shelves. I do food videos and have a lot of random dishes, extra cookware, place settings, and catering dishes so this was perfect and sturdy! You can easily clean it, just wipe it was a damp cloth or a duster. The shelf will be around for years to come, it's sturdy and stability is nice just like my $65 and $85 metal racks with this decent price point and quick over night delivery, it was here before I was ready to start the kitchen shelf swap 😂. You can assemble while sitting down, until the top racks, which are super light weight but sturdy. The simplicity of the screws will let you finish in about 15 minutes, if that.
