Ok so for the most part I always expect a bed topper to smell when I first get them. I wait a few days before placing in same room and on my mattress. This one still smells even after a week of being opened. I wish it didn't smell which makes me want to take it off my bed daily. I'm sensitive to smells so this doesn't make me too happy. On the other side it is comfortable. Soft and seems like it is preventing new skin breakdown on my body. I'm still not sure about the cooling feature they say this one has. I sleep extremely hot so this doesn't seem any cooler to me than the mattress by it self. It has helped over all so I would purchase again. Because before I got this I was noticing sore spots from my mattress and turning on my side was just painful. Note I am able to lay on my bed feeling like I'm on a soft cloud and it has helped the pain a little. I can once again sleep on my side or how ever I wish too. I was very surprised with everything going on that it came very quickly. Thank-You Gave it four stars because I really wanted a cooler mattress topper and this still has me sleeping warm. On a note. I was bed surfing with this mattress. Oh that isn't funny. The mattress wouldn't stay on the bed at all by morning me and the topper were almost on the bed for weeks. My care prover was worried about the major movement of the topper off of the bed so she purchased a mattress protector that was a zipped one around the whole mattress. We put both into the mattress cover and fixed my bed surfing. This is a couple years now and I still like this topper and have fixed the mattress topper from moving off of my regular mattress. their both in the zippered mattress cover. Yes they both fit. Great product! Just spent my first night on it and all I can say is my body is much happier. I put this on top of my existing pillow top, "firm" mattress. I guess I can't handle firm anymore as I would wake up stiff/sore and I could tell the pressure spots on my body. Anyway, after the first night I woke up with zero pain. No tossing and turning from pressure points, no stiffness after sleeping. Well worth it. Like some have said, The topper does have a chemical smell, kinda reminds me of a permanent marker/dry erase marker. Im sure it would go away faster if you let it sit and air out a day but, I didn't want to wait. It fluffed right up out of the packaging. The product did not expand sufficiently after 3 days. At no spot does it rise to 4". It does get to 3 inches in a some places. At the folded part, a lump remains. I am a female Vietnam Era veteran with 11 years in service and a total VA disability rating. I live alone and haven't the strength, the assistance, or the know how to fold it back up, much less put this back in a box and return it. I'd had another brand, in a twin size, for my departed mother which was far superior, but unavailable in full size. This one looked comparable, but it is not. This does not look like the one in the photo which is a bright blue...this one is white with a light blue tint. I'm stuck with this behemouth. It doesn't even fit in a garbage can :( To return it for a refund the morons keep telling me to put it in a box...it won't fit in a box anymore! These people are so SCREWED UP.
