I've worn inexpensive readers for years, pull them on and off a lot working in the shop and garden, hook them in my shirt collar while I work until I need them. So I drop them a lot and abuse them generally so that's why I stick with cheap multi-packs. The lenses in these are excellent, very clear all across the entire lens. So much so, that I realize now the reason I always had to pull off my other readers every time I needed to look up or focus on someones face five feet away was more a function of unevenly ground lenses than looking through a specific magnification. With these, if I forget to take them off when I get up and walk across the room, I can actually still see and not get dizzy trying to focus through uneven lenses. The frames are solid, have a very nice spring action at the temple which gives them flex for different head sizes. They are very comfortable, light weight and fit well on the bridge of the nose. Pretty easy to forget you have them on. I just got them a couple of days ago so will see how they hold up over time (but you can't really fault any glasses for falling apart when constantly dropped!). I am very impressed with the quality and it's a great price. Even though these are a 4 pack, I plan to go ahead and order another 4 pack while I can, in case they become unavailable. Very pleased with these glasses! Read more

These are fantastic reading glasses. They look and work great! I especially like how they flex at the hinges. As much as I like them though, I discovered a little something that makes me like them even more. Let me explain: At first, all was great but within weeks I started having an issue: the screws in the two front hinges kept backing out. So, I simply tightened them up with a tiny screwdriver, but I was finding they'd start loosening again within 1-3 days. And to make matters worse, when they did: it was easy to over tighten them, and when I did THAT, they'd get a small crack in the joint that holds the arms on. And then ... within days or weeks, they'd break. What to do? How could I make my "perfect" reading glasses stay "perfect"? MY SECRET: truth be told, my so-called "secret" isn't so much in the fix so much as what that fix accomplishes. First the fix: I simple removed the screws and put a TINY bit of superglue on each screw and immediately screwed them back in. Now I used a superglue that didn't set instantly (I think the set time was around 10 seconds) and like I said, I used a VERY small amount on each of the two tiny screws. Here's the RESULT: after letting them sit overnight (probably longer than I needed to), not only did the screws not come out any more - BUT - it seemed to strengthen the joints because I have since dropped them many times onto a wood floor, table top, etc. and they have continued to hold up. So well in fact that today I FINALLY had my first modified pair fail - after nearly a year (actually, 10 days short of it's one year mark). And when I say fail, they still work, they just have finally developed a slight "catch" to them because they've finally got their first small crack at the joint. Surprisingly, that joint still hasn't broken but it likely will in the coming days. So the secret is that the above fix has allowed my remaining pairs at least to survive multiple drops onto wood floors, tosses onto tables, etc. with no loosening of screws and virtually no breaks or cracks (until finally, today, nearly a year later). Perhaps it'll do the same for yours. Not bad for reading glasses that cost less than 2.50 each (9.99 for 4)! One last thing: these reading glasses really look good (and apparently, other people think so too). I was wearing the clear pair at a trendy restaurant and was approached by one of the servers who wasn't even waiting on our table to say: "do you mind if I ask how much your glasses cost - and where you found them? I've been looking for glasses like that". I laughingly replied: "oh, um, they're actually just reading glasses". Read more

These are reasonably nice, and the price for four pairs is quite good. The optics are sharp enough to help, but obviously not as high quality as better quality lenses. There is a little bit of play in the frame, but nothing too bothersome. Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase and will probably buy again if these break down over time., Read more
