Just received the bulbs, they came well packed and on time. The have a bright white, glare free light. We have a number of older (25 year old) can lights, that the previous owner "up graded" to some rather hideous retro-fit black hanging lights (wire cage style) with clear light light bulbs, that didn't give adequate illumination and hung down so low in the kitchen that upper cabinet doors hit them when opened. They looked like a bunch of bugs hanging from the ceiling. Same fixture were in the rear hall, up the stairway and in the upstairs hall. In addition, they were on both the front and back porch ceilings and over the rear entry. The porch lights were brass (corroded from the weather) and had jeweled shades (all this on a classic colonial farmhouse). We thought they were hardwired, so had an electrician out and he suggested we replace all of them (25 lights) with retro-fit can lights that consist of the rim and bulb together (no bulb replacement - just have to buy a whole new complete fixture that cost anywhere from $4.50 to $9.00+ each!), plus have to pay his fee to do all this. Upon closer examination, after taking one of them down, we realized that the original socket was there, just covered up by all the excess cord that had been crammed into the fixture, and we just unscrewed it. The original can rims were in perfect condition and all they needed were new flood light bulbs screwed in. Studied a number of offerings on Amazon and chose the Sunco 5000 bright white bulbs based on the company, years in the lighting business and customer service. There were some bad reviews on bulb longevity but the good reviews, plus the guarantees from Sunco for its products encouraged us to choose them. The price was reasonable (the more you buy the cheaper) so now we have "new" bright lights all over for a fraction of what we thought we would have to spend. I personally prefer the old style can lights, where the bulb is level with the ceiling rather than up in the can fixture as so many of the new ones (and the retro-fit ones) are so we were were glad we could keep the original fixtures. We are very pleased with the brightness of the Sunco bulbs and will see how the bulb life is. Read more

Good brightness, well packaged. Only complaint is the color temperature varies from one package to the next. A week prior I purchased 12 of these same bulbs, same color temperature and liked them so much I decided to purchase the 24 pack and continue replacing older bulbs. This new package had a more yellow temperature, similar to the 2700k bulbs I replaced. Read more

Sunco lighting 24 pack are great bulbs, the brightness is just what we needed. Only down side is that they last exactly 18 months. When 1 bulb went out, about a week apart all the other ones started going out. I was okay with that so we purchased another pack of 24. I believe it’s worth your money. Read more

All 24 LED bulbs worked on installation (you would be surprised at our experience of bulbs not working when first installed from other manufacturers). The light matches all the specs as advertised. The remaining issue of life span will take time to play out. If we experience early life failure I will revise the rating but for now we are pleased with the results. Read more
