I need to wear a hat anytime I go out in the sun because I’m older, my hair is thinning blonde, and I am at risk for skin cancer during my leukemia treatment.I like the color of this hat, it is a nice neutral that you can wear with anything. It fits great; the little string with the beads in the back is how you adjust the fit by pulling it snug. I think the style in this color has a natural type look to it and it has a less athletic look to it, than a baseball cap. I like the style for going on a walk or sightseeing or something like that where you want to look a little nicer. I like that there is a lightweight string that can go under your chin on a windy day. I use that often with brim hats because they’re so easy to catch the breeze and blow off. When I’m not using it, I just tuck it up under the top of the hat. It’s lightweight. I don’t feel the string on my head. I like the style, however, my husband thinks it looks frumpy with the brim that turns up. I guess in this case, style is on the head of the beholder. I’m keeping it anyway. It is not as lightweight as some of my sun hats, but I wouldn’t call it heavy. The quality looks fine. The packing wrinkles came out with a hair dryer. I believe you could smash it flat in a suitcase, but I haven’t tried it so I don’t know what it’ll look like when you get it out. I bought the 1st of these hats, the beige hat, at my medical clinic as I have cancer-prone skin. I now own this same hat in 3 colors (ordered on Amazon!)!!! I wear them all the time. I've worn my 1st hat over a year on many trips, and it's still in great shape. It's soft and comfortable, the most comfortable sun hat I've ever had. It's adjustable for your head size!
