This tri-colored cowhide is exactly what I wanted! My dog is quite happy too. Their colors almost match! It is almost an exact replica to the picture that was advertised. The colors are beautifully rich with a spectacular pattern. It is soft with very little fold marks. Absolutely no off putting smell. Just a hint of leather, which is quite pleasant! We are so happy with our purchase. It is a beautiful rug and adds pizzazz to our bedroom. It is a little thin on one part of the rug but I'm sure that is due to the tanning of the hide. I will be purchasing another one for my son's room. Read more

I received my package in NY without using Prime in 2 days. That was quick. The packaging was perfect and the item is SO INCREDIBLE. The smell of course is of leather as of now. The texture is amazing and the color and pattern is sharply similar to what is pictured on their advertisement which was important to me because I needed it to look like that and given it is a live animal it is hard to pin point, however, they pretty much did. Bessie has made a wonderful addition to my living room! This rug was the largest size offered. The color was just like the pictures - a beautiful tricolor white black and brown. Initially, the smell was pretty bad - must be tanning chemicals or something- but it dissipated within 24 hours. To remove the biggest wrinkles from the way it was folded, I used a handheld clothing steamer. The remaining wrinkles are slowly working themselves out. My friend's 18 month old came over with her the other day, and she must have thought it was pretty soft because she sweetly petted it several times like she pets their dog lol. For cleaning, sweeping it seems to work better than vacuuming- it seems less aggressive. Finally, we had a dance party on it the other night (literally wii dance), which did seem to shake out some extra hair, but I have a feeling at this point we're just getting all the loose stuff out.
