This is an absolutely beautiful and well made waist cincher; obviously it’s not going to be the same quality as some of the similar items you’d find at a Ren Faire but is definitely higher quality than the price reflects. I would have loved to have kept it and made it work for me. However, I have found that this brand runs slightly big. For most Amazon corsets and waist cinchers I can make that 25” waist size work for me despite having slightly under a 24” waist. Most will have a little bit of extra space which is fine because I’m generally using it over sever skirts/tops. However this brand has significantly more space, it fits more like a 26”-26.5” waist size (which through trial and error I found is just a bit too big for me to make work). I’ve tried several different styles and colors from this brand and all of them, without fail, are bigger than the size chart reflects. I am petite so I’m used to struggling to find a good fit. If my waist was slightly larger I’d highly recommend this brand. So I think it’s a great product and would recommend but I do wish their size guide would better reflect what it actually measures. For reference I’m 5’2” about 100lbs with a 24” waist and 29” hip- I even tried putting this over a several layers one being a thicker sweater and it still just wasn’t going to hold my layers in place. And holding layers in place is what I use the waist cinchers and corsets for, I’m not even trying to achieve any actual cinching of the waist so I wasn’t even expecting or needing a super tight fit. All in all if your waist size and measurements are even an inch or two bigger than mine the smallest size should work fine. Or if you don’t mind it having some wiggle room and moving around slightly it should be fine; it just didn’t work for me needs. But I’d still recommend it to someone who is the right size, which is why I took just one star off- not because of quality but because of inaccurate size guidelines. Read more
