Gorgeous but slippery!

This gorgeous orange area rug was planned for next to my bed where I hoped it would color coordinate with my spread and drapes with orange sheers. But I found that my slippers would not get good traction at night as I got up several times and the area rug was too slippery for me to stand up ( age 79). But I do recommend this for anyone who loves orange area rugs. It is silky shag so vacuuming often will be a consideration. It’s light weight and easy to move. This would be great is s teen’s room or dorm or as I’m doing, putting it in front of my fireplace ( not shown). It was a good price and probably should be washed on gentle at a laundromat. I can’t detect any odd smell and haven’t noticed any shedding. It looks luxurious but Isn’t thick at all. Read more

I love this rug. I put it downstairs on top of a wall to wall carpet that I have because I wanted to add some color to that room. This rug is a beautiful dark purple and is really soft. If walking barefoot, it can be a little bit slippery in my experience. I have had it for a while now. It doesn't get much traffic where it is but it is still holding up perfectly. People have said that it's a bit thin but for me, it's perfect. It was a little folded up when I first got it but after putting it out for a day or so, it smoothed out just fine. Read more
