The black base bottom WILL stain your countertop.
The stand has a nice finish and holds my shaver and brush securely. The one big negative as other reviews have stated is the bottom of the base is a black felt like material and leaves a black stain on light colored countertops. I had to use bleach to get the black stain out. Now I have a folded Kleenex under the base to see if that will prevent further staining of my countertop. Time will tell. UPDATE: The Kleenex will prevent the base from staining your countertop. I’m the end it kept getting wet and needed to be replaced so I just purchased a different stand. Read more
Nicer than other stands.
This is so much nicer looking than other stands. The brush holder is a little small for the handle of my brush, but it holds it fine to have the handle on top and the bristles slid in the slot. The razor fits just fine. If you bump it hard, the razor can slide/jump out, so be aware of that when you decide on a location. I bought it 7 months ago and the chrome still looks like new. Read more
