Great for Jackson figure skates

SimbaJune 8, 2025

I like the firm feeling of these insoles (ordered the performance model). Took the advice in other reviews and sized up to a skate 7-8. I wear a 7 in women's skates, so the recommended size was skate 5-6 as they're based on men's sizes. Coming from the softer Aetrex insoles, the Superfeet feel more responsive on the ice. I have a normal arch, but Jacksons have always felt too roomy in the arch area of the skate, even with insoles. These fit perfectly and give my entire foot a point of contact. The arch support immediately improved my outside edge control. Since I'm not fighting to avoid collapsing inward, deep outside edges hold beautifully and no longer skid on strong landings. I will say that there is some additional pressure on the ball of the foot, likely because of the insole heel pitch. It's not severe, but it does help to lace a strong heel lock and ensure you're fully settled into the heel when using these. Honestly, this is good practice to begin with. I can see how skaters whose skates are too large would likely find these painful. Read more

Works perfect for my five-year-old son that’s in a size 12. The quality seems top-notch. It has taken care of the pain he was having in his feet, knees and lower back. Very supportive and seems very durable. Read more

They work well!

My skates are Bauer Nexus, 9.5. I got the size 11-12 insoles. You can see that the superfeet are bigger than the stock Bauer insoles, but the arch/shape matches up to the Bauer ones/my foot. I trimmed the superfeet, they fit great. Stock insoles were so thin that the rivets underneath hurt my feet. Superfeet are thick enough to provide more cushion than stock but still thin enough not to make the fit too tight. They’re comfy and keep my feet in place. I have “Bauer bumps” on the backs of my heels and the superfeet don’t boost my heels up out of the spot they formed in my boots- which is great. Immediately more comfortable than stock, not like life changing where all discomfort is gone, but much better- very nice. Glad I got them! Read more

Buy shoe size not skate size.

I ordered these insoles as an attempt to fix the pain I was having in the sides of my feet. There is a good chance that this pain is also due to the fact I have wide feet and skates that are not wide but I wanted to try these anyways based off a YouTube video I saw from the company that said they help side to side flexion of your foot. I felt like that flexion and collapsing of my arch when skating was contributing to the fatigue on the outside of my foot. After trying the insoles I have a couple of observations to suggest to future buyers: 1. They did help with the fatigue/cramping in my sides of my foot. I skated 1.5 hours finally pain free and felt like I had a ton more energy. I imagine getting wider skates will also help. 2. The arch support feels really off when I simply step on the insoles. The arch support is really far back and feels too close to my heel of my foot. I ordered the size 7-8 because my skates are size 7, but I think I’m going to try 9-10 to see if the arch support fits better in my arch as my shoe size is 10. 3. I recommend once you install the arches you consider rebaking your skates. I got bad blisters after playing on these because they positioned my heel in a slightly elevated position. I imagine a rebake with the insoles in skates will help with this issue. Conclusion: I’m impressed with the difference these made in my skates even though I have likely skates that are too small/narrow. They solved my pain on the outside of my foot I would say 80% by giving me some stability in my arch. Also, I don’t ever use arch support in any of my shoes and I have had my feet 3D scanned and I am a border line high arch. I think skating puts a whole new level of strain on feet and arches and even someone with a stronger arch can benefit. 4/5 stars - my only gripe was that I wish I knew I should size to my shoes not my skates. They really work!

Immediate pain relief! The pinky toe on my left foot had been getting mashed into the front outside of my boot on hard stops and was really starting to be a problem. I was using skip lacing to try and give it some extra room and even that wasn't doing it. The night I installed these I full laced the boot for the first time in two years just to see if the insoles would really correct the sliding. It did!!! Totally pain free! It also felt much easier/quicker to initiate turn in, change direction, and stop. Would totally recommend these to anyone having issues with foot or heel movement in your skates. These were used in my quad roller skates for roller derby. Read more

Put these in your skates ASAP

Superfeet Hockey Pro Insole - ESSENTIAL skate component IMO I can't describe the instant comfort, control and power that these provide. They are magical. And work no matter where you place them apparently, as I plucked the pair from my FR1s, where they were sandwiched between the stock footbed and my intuition premium liner. Note that in the FR1s I kept the Intuition premium's shock absorber installed and put that sucker right on top of the Superfeet.... I don't know how that physics, but it does it anyway. So I had to trim a couple of mm to fit the inserts into the CJ2, but it slid in right above the stock red foot bed insert...which also has plenty of shock absorbing material built in to the heel area since it is the base CJ2 model with the integrated liner. Instant results. Before the Superfeet, I had all kinds of issues breaking in the CJs. My 2nd toe is longest by a few mm and the left one was still pretty painfully bent in the boot after a few sessions in the CJs. Overall the boot was too roomy in the toe area (besides that L2) and lacked support above my foot. Even with the wax laces I couldn't get the lacing to compensate. I had none of the desired control to feel safe exploring edges or jumps or especially toe rolls. Max session time around 1.5-2 hours before pain and fatigue took over. Read more
