Kyoto I can’t write a review for the Kyoto blend for some reason so I’ll do it here because this matcha is TOP Class . This blen in the brown can is phenomenal. The aroma has a pungent yet floral smell not overpowering but balanced and indication of greasiness. The color as you can see is even more vibrant jade green than their other blends but not super dark. The texture or ground is ultra fine. If I’m to compare all their levels of how they grind the matcha it’s clear that they do a better job at every price point . All of them are stone ground it just get better with the quality tier. This matcha also froths very well , I have found this with all their blends. So the flavor, this matcha has more umami than their other blends. It’s almost a mix of seaweed and floral notes and sweetness. Then you notice the creamy texture and smoothness at the end. Hands down this is the best matcha with good caffeine content . If you want premium premium matcha you have to try this “Kyoto” blend . I’m not sure at $55 this is an everyday matcha but it’s worth it if you want to experience the best amazon has to offer . This brand has been nothing but excellent and you will not be disappointed unless you are accustomed to the mediocre organic brands on amazon. IMO if your drinking matcha usucha stay away from organic matcha and if your drinking kociha this is a must matcha. —————————/// nishio This is the my third time trying this brand . They never fail to produce a great product! This is the second time I have tried this blend and it’s even better than the first time . This matcha is very balance and gentle on your palate. The is nothing overwhelming in aroma or flavor . It has a nice floral smell over a pungent grassy smell . The taste is very rounded and has good umami. The color is a bright pale green, not a vibrant jade green that is usually coupled with strong and pungent grassy aromas This is stone ground and very smooth. The most memorable thing about this matcha is how SWEER it is. This is by far one of the best matcha teas on Amazon and if you think otherwise ... your mistaken. Kimikura blend———————— 20 march 2021 This blend is another excellent choice. The most memorable part of this matcha is bold seaweed sensation. The color is bright emerald green, exactly what you are looking for from a premium brand that and is an indicator of freshness. If Matcha sits out to long in the elements it will loose is color and vibrance even turn white over time in extreme conditions. At first impressions you get a nice balance aroma when you open the tin and when you take your initial scoop you can tell its super fine stone ground matcha. You generally can tell by how it clumps like moon dust. Another key indicator for premium quality. This matcha mixes well and is very smooth to the lips. There is a slight creaminess with no bitterness, it’s not sweet, i would call it neutral when it comes to sweetness. This particular blend has a lot of umami notes and have a very strong sensation of seaweed but not grassy at all. IMO the kimikura blend Is an excellent option for a daily ceremonial matcha and should be a bench mark for any matcha drinker. Read more
