Holy softness! I love this mattress feather bed top. I bought it before going on a cub scout camping trip. I learned the year before the "mattress" at the cub scout cabin is a 1" thick piece of hard rubber mat. Needless to say, not comfortable at all. I didn't sleep for even a minute. This year I brought my down mattress top and slept like a baby. When I first got it out of the box I was dissapointed how thin it was. I thought there was no way this would make much diffence. However, once I got it on my bed and tried it out I did not want to get up. I thought I would fall asleep right there. The material is soft and the filling is better than down imo. Its like sleeping on a cloud. I fell asleep so fast the first night and didn't wake up once. I slept deeper and woke up more rested than I have in years. This thing is a life saver! Read more

As a side sleeper, I like the support of a firm mattress but it would make my hip sore. I wanted a pad that wouldn't get too soft but that would make my firm bed more comfortable. This pad is amazing, it has transformed my bed into the most comfortable place in the universe. I'm getting the support I need but no more uncomfortable hip pain!! It fit perfectly beneath my mattress protector which will keep it in place since there are no straps to go under the mattress itself. Don't wash a topper like this, it will ruin it. On a three day vacation I slept on a topper and had no "morning back aches." Since I had had an ache in the morning (over many years) and the vacation topper stopped it I ordered one as soon as I got home. This topper worked fine for a few days (same as vacation) and then the ache returned. I fluffed it in a dryer but that didn't help. It has retained it's fluffiness (I fluff it every 2 weeks) and is pleasant to sleep on but it didn't fix my morning ache. So, a pleasant sleep help but not a back ache cure, at least for me. I LOVE this product! I purchased this as a topper for my twin-size pull-out sleeper chair in my study, and my guest slept on it for 5 nights and raved over it. I loved it so much, that I purchased a King-size for my master bedroom too - firm mattress. Placed on top of the firm mattress, then topped with my protective cotton fitted mattress pad with stretchy fitted sides, kept it firmly in place. The fitted sheet also prevented it from shifting. It really did stay put. It is heavenly, and sumptuous, and I did not find it to be hot at all, which was a concern before purchase. It immediately relieved the pressure on my joints from my recent total hip replacement surgery just weeks ago, and I was even able to lie on the operative side comfortably! I highly recommend this product. Great value, and I'm not only ordering a third one in Queen-sized for my guest room, I have recommended and demonstrated mine to two of my friends and co-workers. I would recommend a protective zippered cover if you don't use a mattress pad, just to keep it nice and fresh, as it probably must be dry cleaned. Just love this and hope you will too!!
