The gas spring in this monitor mount is very good for the price. Its a VESA mount so it would work with just about anything. Clips to the desk or any surface, really. Very strong, able to hold my 32 inch monitor. My only gripe with this mount is that it does wobble a bit if theres any kind of motion going on on your desk. If you have a very sturdy, heavy duty desk, you probably wont have to worry about that too much. The clamp is easy to move, the monitor is easy to put on, and has a bunch of different adjustments and tension knobs that will allow you to get exactly what you need in terms of monitor position. I was inspired to do the arm set up based on some other people’s pictures. This was a quick buy and well worth the cost. It is easy to set up although the instructions could be clearer. It does exactly what the product displays says. I use it with a smaller screen vertically for when I’m watching TikTok streams. The future goal is to use it to watch comments, control music, etc. it’s perfect for when I need to review webpages, red long documents or just put more in the screen. IMPORTANT: I’m using mine on a glass desk. I wasn’t sure about the safety of doing this so I added folded newspaper/cardboard under to make sure there was a firm but glass-safe buffer on the part that fixes to the table. Be careful doing this. I don’t move the screen a lot so I’m not as worried. I do move it from time to time if I’m working and watching a stream but then want to continue watching from bed. I made sure to fold the paper thick enough so most of the stress or pressure is on the paper and not the table. Also I made sure it was wide enough so that when tightening the bracket, it never touches the glass table. Read more
*update: loosening the main arms nut from the base of the clamp helped a whole bunch more than tightening did! Updated my rating. Even after tightening all of the joints there's still some play making the monitor stand seam slanted and moving with small vibrations. My panel is very small and light but still seems to be I bit much. it's unfortunate you have to tighten all the joints just to make the stand not wiggle, and then you have a hard time moving and adjusting the screen. The two main arms don't seem to extend out all the way and stay there even under their own weight. rather if the arms are extended trying to adjust upwards as well tends to not work. A little bit finicky but looks great strong materials but it's unfortunate for the mounting mechanism. (if your desk has a metal frame it's a hassle... this product SHOULD COME WITH a method of mounting using a NUT AND BOLT SYSTEM rather than clamp.) despite its flaws and what feels like misguidance, this is a great cheap option. This is the second one of these I've bought within a few months. First one is great, no issues. Second works but looked like it was opened and attempted to be installed. Had a few scuffs, was missing a critical piece of hardware(set screw for monitor visa plate to the stand), and one of the hex screws is partially stripped(vertical tilt). I found everything in the box that was needed for setup. It comes with detailed instructions on how to put it together properly. I found it fast and simple to do. It holds the monitor easily and it is very secure. I have no worries of it falling to the floor or falling over. Easy to move also. My monitor is 27" in photos. The quality is very strongly built.
