I was actually going to return this because it was bigger than I thought it would be. I ended up keeping it, and I'm so glad I did!! It's really handy to set hot dishes on when cooking. Cooked pasta, for example. I set my hot pasta pot on it while I'm fumbling with my colander. It's just super handy as a temporary placeholder for anything hot when you're cooking and you need to protect your counter. Really sturdy - I even place my crockpot meals on this to cool off. I have a nightmarish short AND small sink. It causes great inconvenience to even try to rinse things out. I have the larger version of this rack that covers the whole sink but due to my sink size, just having one of the sink covered is even bigger threat to my rinsing ways.
