The inserts arrived very flat and compressed but fluffed immediately, and once in their pillow covers remained fluffy. They maintain their shape without being too hard, so excellent support. This "feather" pillow actually contains 75% feathers, and 25% polyfill (AKA "down alternative"). The feathers are big and coarse. They aren't poking through the pillow yet, but I fear it will just be a matter of time before they do. Although the pillow is sold as "18x18"" the manufacturer proudly says it is 19x19". Which seems like a weird decision that leaves me crossing my fingers, hoping the pillow case will fit. It is fluffy, but not very soft. The quality appears to be reasonable, but not extremely high. It's nowhere near as soft as real down, which does not contain the sharp quill of the feather. Read more

I covered this soft lumbar pillow with a case and tossed it on my chair. The stuffing is just the right amount, nice and soft, not too thick, not too thin. The size fits nicely in a chair. Read more
