I was sick of my clothes feeling like the detergent didn’t rinse out, smelly fuuunky because I will not use scented detergent, and of course feeling like it was pointless washing our couch blankets (we have 3 dogs and a toddler) because they just didn’t smell very good. I tried vinegar etc. I came across this and it has been life changing. It cleans all of our stuff and it does it extremely well. If we need an extra boost for stains (which we tend to do a lot), I’ll pair it with a scoop of oxi clean free. That combo is MAGIC. Chefs kiss. We are an active family and our activewear no longer smells funky! Our blankets smell fresh when they get washed! It is expensive but a little goes a long way. Literally changed my life Read more
I used this to get all the grease out of my husbands clothes (which he’s a mechanic) we live in Az and during the summers our temps get to be about 120 degrees. So sometimes his clothes are stanky with BO. After using this, it gets the grease out, the smells, and leave his clothes smelling fresh! I just add it to our fabric softener spot and put it on an extra rinse and boom, clean clothes Read more
Just started using product but it impressed me from the very first load of wash that I used with it. It cleaned my stinky, smelly, sweat -soaked workout clothes like I’ve never seen before. The sweat X detergent will be in my laundry room permanently. This stuff worked for me. Let it work for you. It does the job like nothing else I’ve encountered. Read more
Did you turn 25 and suddenly you just get itchy now? No idea why? It’s your laundry detergent! You don’t need to smell like lavender or daisies or whatever “cool mountain rush” is. Get this stuff and magically don’t be itchy anymore. “Oh but some of the scented detergents don’t clean close well…” Not this one! No more weird burnt smell from the dryer like some non scented detergents give. Removes light stains and deodorant residue on tshirts. TLDR - No scent = no itch = this detergent rips! Read more
After multiple soaks, repeated wash cycles, and sanitizing the washer twice I could not get the metallic, fish, wet dog stench out of our clothing. I tried multiple days of baking soda paste, stripping with vinegar, Lysol sanitary wash, Kids&Pets, Biz, Oxy clean soaks, Borax, and Febreeze. It did not matter how much I washed, the smell would not disappear. It was not the washer but some random stench possibly high Ketone sweat that the fabric was holding on to. I purchased this as a last-ditch effort. It works well, the stench of whatever it was is gone. The fragrance is similar to a light version of 1980-90's Irish spring soap, with the nostalgic smell you would remember before everything had an undertone of heavy men's body spray. The colors and brightness of the fabric did not change during the wash cycle. Read more
Kills odor. Either this or Nathan's detergent are the only ones that work for athletic gear. Read more
Updated after about 4 months of use. On the last of the 4 original bottles. Below is my original review (noted as such). I'm going to go back to the slightly more expensive product I was using before. I had more than a few gym shirts that still retained 'gym funk' after using this product. I even upped the amount of it I tried. Doubling the dose helped a little, but not all the time, and at that point, it's on price point with 'Out Pro Wash' two bottle packs (what I was using before), and that product did a superior job and had better packaging (though not perfect packaging! Especially when Amazon would put it in a box with something heavy smacking into it). (Original review below) I ordered a 4 pack of these, because it was more cost effective. The nice part was they came in their own box because of this. So I didn't experience some of the issues others had with bottles leaking in transport due to being in a package with other items. The upsides first: The product works very well. Not quite as well as another product I used in the past, but this is also less than half the cost (or was at the time of purchase), so it was worth trying out. It successfully removed any 'gym funk' that my workout shirts would retain that my normal detergent wasn't eliminating. Downsides - the packaging. Wow. The first bottle had a little seal under the cap that I had to peel off. The second bottle didn't. I now see another reason why some people had leaks in transit. Also, the plastic they use is THIN. When the bottle is full, applying the amount of pressure needed to hold the bottle WILL result in enough concave force to push liquid up and out. One side of the bottle has ridges along the edge, and a 'dip' in the sides about halfway to the front. I have fairly large hands and my fingers were not long enough to use this (I thought maybe it was a grip point). Gripping from the other side isn't any better. It's only after you've used the first few doses and can comfortably squeeze the bottle does it feel safe to hold. The cap has a slightly rounded top. So you can't set it down to fill as an impromptu measuring cup like you can with most detergents. I found this odd. Combined with the bottle ergonomic issues, I just free-pour the few uses until I can hold it as mentioned in one hand, and the cap in the other. Fix the packaging, keep the price, and this will be a 5 star product. Read more
