I bought this backpack for work and quality is great, you can clean it easily, the water bottle side pocket is not that tall so small water bottles only, I did bought some elastic band to make it hold bigger water bottles to make it better because I love the size of the bag and don’t want to get any other. It fits a lot of things and the big pocket holds a lot for the size, you can fit a laptop and several notebooks and folders. The backpack is very light and very comfortable. Read more

On the small size compared to Jansport, but I do like it. I don't like the Red Cross like symbol on it, but it works great. It has nice compartments to it, and hasn't ripped or torn down yet. Great little bag. It's pretty sturdy and cheaper than Jansport now. Jansport has really gone up on it's prices. Read more

I thought Swiss Gear was a company that produced quality items and reasonable customer service. They have struck out on both counts. We bought this backpack for our son to use in college. It lasted about a month and a half. The hanging strap on the top of the bag ripped off and a 5 inch torn area of stitching opened between the two attachment points on the top of the bag. I sent a description to the company's customer service on Saturday. It is now Thursday and we have not been contacted by them or even had the email acknowledged. Very disappointing. Read more

I was looking at backpacks that were more expensive but I like this bag's look and utility for commuting and everyday use. It's the right size with the right number of pockets organized in an accessible manner. There's a couple of minor deficiencies. As others have pointed out, the side pockets for water bottles are a little small and aren't as taut as I would like. I also miss the loops that some backpacks have on the front of the straps. The front of one strap does have a small pocket for storing credit cards/money or ID badges, which is handy. And the bungee cords give the bag added versatility. It doesn't have a sternum strap, but it's unnecessary. The bag is comfortable enough without it. Read more
