The fabric is waterproof. Water forms droplets on the fabric and slides off. Jacket is light weight. Its mesh lining makes it warmer than a single-layer windbreaker. The workmanship is good. The zipper is regular nylon, not the waterproof type, but adequate. Two outside zippered pockets are deep enough for sunglasses and even a foldable umbrella. The hood is really deep. I have trouble seeing when wearing the hood, unless I tie the drawstring around my face or if I wear a cap and wear the hood over it. The hood is not foldable. The jacket came without the pouch as it should. Amazon gave me a choice to return the jacket to get a replacement. It's such a waste for a missing pouch. I end up keeping the jacket. Well peepers this here jacket is exactly as it says and I mean EXACTLY- if you like the close feel of snug clothing then this is for you , if not then definitely order up a size - they are true to size and I’m not kidding. Great material , like the looks and feel, I ordered up a size as I had to return the first item, in the front where you see the flaps ( call them for now) I cut them open inside for ventilation and seed the ends so they couldn’t tear any further- now peeps, I travel for my job ( it’s not glamorous) and when the warm months come you always need that lite jacket for those unexpected rain showers cool airplane rides or just windy days or chilly nights well this is a great choice . Flap openings are not optional diy self kit is in your kitchen drawer !! Works great for an inexpensive wind breaker. I needed this for working construction outside. The winds and cold weather are terrible this year so I just needed something to cut down the wind.
