Saw this dock adapter on an AustinJohnPlays video and decided to check it out since it was at a very affordable price of just $17 compared to outright buying a brand new Nintendo Switch 2 dock at $125. I’m traveling out of the country in a few weeks, so I didn’t want to risk damaging my expensive dock, so this adapter was a great option. The adapter’s design is very simple and compact. It fits perfectly fine in my Mumba Switch 2 carrying case. Plugging in the cables was straightforward and the connection & picture quality was fantastic. I played Yakuza 0 to test the adapter, and the game ran very smooth with no issues or defects to gameplay or visuals. Purchased the Switch 2 model after reading the specs and it is working perfectly with a V1 while we wait for a real dock off Ebay. It has already come in handy as an extra usb-c > usb-a connector too for computer use Read more

Edit: it did start working - I had to unplug and replug the dock at least 4 times before it would work, but after that it seems to work as advertised. If you are having issues, I'd try the following: 1. plug in power & HDMI to the dock, and the dock to the switch. Wait 30 seconds. 2. unplug everything (power from dock, hdmi from dock, dock from switch). Wait 30 seconds 3. repeat steps 1 & 2 at least 3 more times. Original review: Purchased 12/25/2025, does not work with Switch 2 software version 21.1.0 even after unplgging/replugging & trying a firmware update. Read more

Was going to purchase an additional docking station, but glad I held off as this is an even better option for the switch 2. Wanted to have another dock in another room that my fiancée plays in, but now she can bring this in any room she wants and hook it up with ease even at her computer. Read more

i have the switch version 21.1.0 - the device won't work. none of the updates to firmware would recognize the device. Read more

We haven't had any problem using this yet. We've used it with a classic switch, and OLED switch, and a switch 2. Connectivity is great, easy to get it set up, and is lightweight and small so will be easy to take with us on vacation. Read more
