I purchased this dock because my Nintendo Switch keeps overheating and shutting off, even with a cooling fan. I wanted something that would connect it to the TV but with an open back for better airflow. It does the job well. Connection was simple, and it has the same number of ports as the original dock. The only thing it doesn't do is hold up the fan that we still use to help keep it cool, but a little tape does the trick there. This dock has helped us extend the life of our Switch, which has been going strong for 7 years now but is starting to show some wear (overheating easily, graphics occasionally scramble.) This dock is so small, compact, sturdy, and lightweight. It's almost the same size as my pressed powder foundation. Love it. I've purchased 3rd party docks before but this may be my new favorite just because of how portable it is. You could fit it in your pocket. And obviously the price is SO much more affordable than Nintendo's huge dock and it has the exact same function. The dock worked great while I had it, however eventually my switch stopped charging and wouldn't turn on. This is the only non Nintendo dock I have. Took my switch to the shop and they confirmed it. It's a common problem with certain after party docks. Read more

great dock for what it is, something small , light, fits anywhere and easy to use on the go this is exactly what you get. 3 stars instead of 4 because only had this for about 6 months before needing another new dock. the folding part of the dock where the switch sits after awhile will start to wear out like bending a charging cable too much and my hdmi output no longer works, it will charge and if i sit the switch on it at just the right angle it will work again but its finally just stopped working now Read more

Works as expected. Better than another 3rd party one I own. Connects easily. folds up and fits in pocket. It's about the size of a wallet, especially if you don't have lots of money in it. :) It's pretty thin. One big negative for you Fortnite fans... the USB port is too close to the HDMI port. You can't plug in a USB headset unless you add a USB extender. So there is a way around it, but you'll need any USB cable extender to do so. Also, great Switch theme colors. Read more

As I said in the caption, it is really small. However, it isn't to small that it can't hold the system, but it is small enough that if you got a carrying case for your switch, this fits in a small pocket and does hook up well to the tvs we have tried. So like many other people with a Nintendo switch, it would be nice to have a docking station in multiple rooms. That's exactly what I bought this for as the main docking station is in the living room. This one fit perfect on my floating shelf below the tv in my bedroom. I did for safety sake install double-sided tape between the glass shelf and the bottom of the charger. The USB port on the television is not powerful enough to provide Power to the docking station when the switch is attached during gameplay. So a separate USB-C connected to the power outlet in the wall is the answer. This worked perfect for my situation. And I would highly recommend this purchase for anyone in need of a second dock.
