Stay with me here...

I bought this set of scrubbing pads and backing plate to clean an impossibly difficult-to-clean bathtub bottom. It has anti-slip texture that is always dark. Enter the rescue pads. First... the mandrill and backing pad were crooked making it wobble badly. I sort of addressed that with a hammer and punch but some of the wobble was still there. Secondly... the scrubbing pads aren't as wide as the backing pad they attach to. Maybe 1/4" overall making them short on each side by 1/8". This system is NOT for corners. Thirdly... the fleece part of one of the pads started to separate from the scrubbing part of the abrasive pad. Only on one, but these might be single-use pads. I was using it with some Soft Scrub but that wasn't the issue since it separated when I went to remove it but only on one side. Lastly... I don't detect any appreciable difference in abrasive, only a thickness difference. Once I tried them all, I couldn't tell a difference. And they came in a plastic bag with no identification that indicated which pads were considered more abrasive than the others. Did they work? Sort of. Will your set be better than mine? Maybe? But I wouldn't buy it again. I'd give it 2 1/2 starts if I could. Your results may vary. Read more
