Scale is inaccurate
Scale is inaccurate. My son is a wrestler, purchased the scale to track weight. Scale is 1.6 lbs light which is a big deal in wrestling. Read more
WARNING: DO NOT BUY THIS SCALE!!!
Tanita refuses to release the calibration instructions for this scale to certified scale service centers (virtually all other manufacturers release the instructions). Tanita expects customers to box up and ship this 25 pound scale to Tanita EVERY YEAR for recalibration. That's an additional $40-$50 expense, plus insurance! That charge will be on top of the $125 they charge to recalibrate the scale after the third year, not to mention the time wasted waiting for your scale to come back. It would be much more customer friendly if they would simply make the calibration instructions available instead of fleecing their customers for years to come. Read more
