Super cute skort. I love the style! From the back, it looks like shorts and from the front, it looks like a skirt. Most skorts look like a skort from the side, where you can see both the short and skirt. This skort from the side, looks like a skirt, because the shorts have a slight flare, which I like. And, because the shorts have a flare, from the back, it looks like shorts rather than a skort. Even though there is a flare, the shorts are tight enough so it doesn't reveal anything and nothing can be seen through. I got the black color which I really like because it has a washed look. The jean material is very soft and although it's thick, it has a nice movement to it and is a bit stretchy. I got a size 2 and it fits nicely, even though I can also fit a size 0 in certain brands. Super cute skort. It looks like a skirt from the front & shorts from the back. Well done combo. Sometimes the transition isn’t great but it is here. Deducted 1 star because it does seem to run a bit large. The XSM was a little big on my almost 18 yr old. She’s pretty thin, but it is an extra small & she had to cinch the back with a shoe string btwn the belt loops. Aside from that, it was adorable. She loves it. This denim skort definitely gives a fun throwback to the 90s, and I’m here for it! The light denim wash is classic and easy to style with just about anything. The fit is true to size. I ordered a size 6 and for reference I’m 5’6” and 140 lbs. The length hits right about at my fingertips, which is roughly 4–5 inches, so it is definitely on the shorter side. The denim material feels sturdy and thick, which gives the skort structure and durability. Even though the fabric is thicker denim, the A-line shape gives you extra room to move and helps it feel lighter when worn. There are five functional pockets: two back pockets, two front pockets, and a small coin pocket. The high-waisted design is flattering and pairs well with tucked tees, tanks, or cropped tops. This skort is really versatile. It looks cute with sandals or sneakers for summer, but it could also be styled with tights, loafers, and a sweater for cooler weather. I have already washed mine and recommend washing in cold water and only partially drying, then laying it flat to finish drying. This helps prevent the denim from shrinking. This Tankaneo mini denim skort looks really cute, especially the front view. I do think they would look better with a skirt back over the shorts, but alas, that is not what this item is. It is comfortable but a little stiff, not stretchy as advertised but…it is denim. The fit is good but a little short in my opinion. There is no noticeable smell, which is always good. I do think this item is likely to bleed in the wash so don’t put it with your whites! Finally, at the button area there were some pointy threads that I will have to try to take care of. Read more
I am very picky about jean shorts. It seems like all the ones I try on are too short (ie too young looking), or too long (too old looking), or have cuffs that don't stay cuffed. I gave up years ago even trying. When I saw these, I figured I might as well try them. In jeans, I wear a 12, though they are a bit loose. These 12s are snug. I thought I read there was stretch in these, but I didn't feel any when I tried them on. On the one hand, stretch is great, on the other, by the end of the day, I end up with saggy jeans, so the lack of stretch in these isn't horrible. But the fact they are 85% cotton and might shrink does make me nervous. These fit well and look great. The wash is the perfect shade for me. You can't tell they are shorts from the front. They are comfortable. And the length is right. The leg openings are a bit wider than I'd prefer, but for a skort, it's what you'd expect. Overall, I'm very happy to finally have a pair of jean shorts I feel comfortable wearing. Read more
