Taos Footwear Womens Guru Sandal

UPDATE: If you haven't worn shoes with a metatarsal support (like me), I suggest wearing these for brief periods until your feet adjust. They seemed so comfortable that I wore them for several hours, then woke up during the night with terrible pain in one foot. I probably had mild metatarsalgia and didn't know it, then the shoe exacerbated it. I'm going to let my foot get back to normal, then begin wearing these again slowly. I think in the end these will be good for my feet. --------------- An ad for this shoe popped up on my phone and I immediately liked the way it looked. I have a hard time finding shoes that fit but I remembered having woven sandals and huaraches in the past that were comfortable. I've never worn this brand and after returning about the last 5 pairs of shoes I ordered, I was hesitant. I finally ordered them and have been wearing for about a week. They are terrific! I normally wear an 8M and these are true to size. I'm prone to blisters, plantar fasciitis and other foot problems but I'm not experiencing any issues. The footbed could be a little more cushioned in the heel area, but they're still quite comfortable and they have some arch support. I also like that the leather covers a lot of foot. If I haven't had a pedicure or I'm in a less casual place (like a medical office or church), I prefer to have more coverage. I'm really pleased, and these could become my everyday sandals. Other brands I like are Clarks, SAS and Ecco. Read more

I have problem feet, arthritis, achilles tendonitis, other stuff :( I cannot wear an ankle strap since it aggravates the achilles tendonitis and after walking a while my toes do not want to grip anymore due to arthritis. These were NOT a size 11. I have several pair of Taos sandals in the same size and this pair was 2-3 sizes smaller. Arrived in unmarked, unbranded box, no tags. Light toe marks on the sandal bed. Definitely had the feeling they had been returned by someone else previously and sent to me as new. Yuck. Read more

Love the feel of these sandels right out of the box but I didn’t like how covered the how covered the front half of the sandels. That was easily remedied by doing a bit of cutting and ta da a perfect fit and style now. Read more
