Small size is perfect for 1-2 people in RV or for boat use. Note:: Only 100 watts means takes slightly longer to cook, but likewise uses less current from inverter/battery. Lock down lid is very handy for keeping contents from spilling out if inadvertently jostled or bumped while underway. Makes perfect rice. Can be used to heat up soup, ramen or leftover veggies. "Stay warm" function. Good value. Well made. Read more

This is the cutest little rice cooker! I’ve been searching for a rice cooker that’s good for 1-2 people. I have a 10 cup rice cooker that takes up a lot of space and I really just use that for when I have company over. This rice cooker is the perfect size for just me. As you can see, it doesn’t take up a lot of counter space, and it’s easy to tuck away. Rice cooks pretty quickly. So far I’ve only cooked a cup of uncooked rice (1 cup uncooked + 1 cup water) which I think makes about 2 cups? I don’t like my rice too mushy or too firm, but I found the 1-to-1 ratio perfect. It’s also very easy to clean, barely have to scrape any rice off the inner bowl and I no longer need to soak it in water. It comes off pretty easily. Cooking is fast, I haven’t actually timed it, but I’d say maybe 10 minutes or less for 1 cup? Anyway, I would definitely recommend this rice cooker. Yes, it cooks less rice but its a little more expensive... but you’re paying for quality. I’ve purchased a cheap 3 cup to 6 cup rice cooker made of poor quality material and didn’t last long. I’m happy with my purchase and think it was definitely worth it. Rice cooked perfectly and tastes so much better. Read more

Ok, so our old one cup rice cooker had seen better days and was scratched up to all hell so it was time for a new one. This one looked cute and was priced right, so we took a gamble. It does cook rice well enough, but there's no valve in the lid's breathing hole, so it spits out water along with the steam, which then tends to leak out from the hole. This wouldn't be so bad in and of itself, except that the lid has a directional gasket and ours came installed upside down. Needless to say, this meant that the lid didn't seal properly and the first batch of rice we tried making resulted in the rice cooker sitting in a puddle of its own water once it was done. Flipping the gasket around and trying again, it didn't leak the next time (except from the breathing hole, which sputtered water out along with the steam). I have to retract a star for the gasket thing along with the leaky blowhole, but the latter issue is not a deal-breaker and the former is easily fixable. Solid B+ effort. Read more

I'm a truck driver who has been using this rice maker for years(just bought a replacement because the lid broke- I am VERY physically hard on these devices, they get dropped and kicked around a lot, so believe me, it can take a beating lol). Works fantastic. Does what i want it to do. I pre-soak and cook my rice with a little butter so there's always some crispy rice around the edges; no problem, ignore that and fluff all the rice that isn't touching the edges, pull it out first; personally I look forward to the crispy rice as an early snack after that's done 😋 Read more

This is a compact device and I had a lot of high hopes that it would work well. Tried to use it to make oatmeal and it was defective. It took over 20 minutes for the water just to boil. There are better devices on the market that can boil water in five minutes. If you need water to boil this is not the product for you. Read more

I use this to make myself Basmati rice at work. We have no "kitchen" and few sinks to wash any dishes, so I bring this to make one pot meals with packets of salmon in oil. I eat about a cup and a half of rice at a time, and use a heat resistant plastic fork to eat it straight out of the cooker. The nonstick makes it very easy to clean up; Wipe out leftover debris, squirt in some hand cleaner, and scrub with another wet paper towel. ( Update ) A few things I learned. I quit breaking up the rice with the included spatula without taking the inner pot out first, because it spins arouns a little bit in the cooker when you do it and shaves off some of the aluminum into the bottom of the cooker. I quit using plastic forks because they all eventually disintegrate and get plastic into the rice- Use a spoon instead, so far a MRE spoon is best. Let the rice sit for 5 minutes after it switches to "Warm" to make sure it absorbed all the water. Basmati rice takes 2 cups to every 1 and a half cup of dry rice. Read more

Beside the fact that it's very very slow cooking, it's really nice and gets the job done(very slowly). Help you not waste rice. Read more
