This product is great! Compared to more expensive brands, this rice cooker does its job just the same. It can make enough rice just for you and your family on the daily or even supply for a big gathering. It’s easy to use, not to heavy to clean, wash or take on the go. It’s the perfect size and the best part is it surely saves some money in your pockets with such a reasonable price. It’s been working so far so good, so why not buy and try it out for yourself! Quality is excellent! This is the second one I have purchased (lost in a move) and I love it! The size is excellent and lots of room for rice and veggies, and it comes with a steamer bowl if you want to make dumplings or something at the same time! Read more

The media could not be loaded. Zero star DEFECTIVE, dangerous unit - do NOT buy. It had numerous issues: 1) unit had smoke escaping from edge of lid at first use (smelled horrible) - see last image 2) Shortly after pushing "Cook", unit started to drip at the front of unit (2nd image) and at side below drip catcher (3rd picture) 3) Video (1st image) shows the excessive condensation liquid flowing out the side of the unit 4) At the end of the Cook cycle, I was able to collect ~ 1/4 cup of liquid that dripped out of the unit (4th image) Read more

I lived in Indonesia for a few years and fell in love with my rice cooker there; however, it wasn't compatible here once I moved back. I didn't want a programmable cooker and it was very hard to find a simple one like this that had good reviews and was affordable. It cooks rice well, but I have not been able to figure out how to not burn the rice at the bottom. I have tried adding more water, less water, making sure I am cooking enough rice, etc. but nothing has worked. My last cooker suggested letting the rice sit for 10 minutes before opening the top, but if you don't unplug and open this one immediately it will burn even more. It is also pretty easy to miss the popping noise of the lever to let you know the cooking is done. You have to stay close by or your dinner may be ruined. It is not a normal keep warm function - it will still keep cooking the rice. Some people noted the plug being in line with the vent. Most of the time this isn't a concern for me, but I have had liquid pour out and it gave me a bit of a scare because it went all over the plug. I do like the steaming basket. It makes cooking an entire meal much easier. And you can make a lot of rice with this cooker. I know it sounds like I have many more complaints than positives, but at the end of the day I have cooked rice and I didn't have to cook it on the stove and clean a sticky rice water from a pot lid (the woooorst!). This rice cooker is similar to the zoirushi quality cookers but more affordable. Works great cooking rice and doesn't burn rice while keeping it warm. Being from Hawaii rice properly cooked is a must in our household. I use the water level to first middle finger crease line method like I was taught as a child. Comes out perfect rice evert time in the cooker. Don't buy the other brands. This is the best affordable ones online. Read more

We've had this rice cooker for almost a year and we still use it. Right now, it's only my partner and I which is why we got this smaller rice cooker. It gets the job done by cooking our rice, but it does burn the rice. As soon as we hear the click the rice makes because it's done, we quickly unplug it. If we leave it to steam for a couple of minutes or more, the bottom of the rice comes out hard. Also, we tried just keeping it warm after having some leftover from dinner til the next morning, by next morning, the whole rice is watery. We found that storing it in the rice cooker unplugged, the rice is still good in the morning so that's what we've been doing. When we can, we'll buy a different rice cooker. Read more
