I've had this Taylor scale for a few months now and I would agree that the scale is accurate and relatively easy to operate. Once you get through the awkward setup, the scale is able to identify the profile/person without any difficulty and deliver your weight and BMI is an easy to read format. I do have a few other Taylor scales and the company does make a accurate scale...never had any trouble with any of them. For me though, I was disappointed in the user interface and the set up process more than anything....it was not super easy and did require some manual reference. It's very easy to use and set up! I enjoy using it! It also has an athletic mode that can be used for training. It has height, age and 6 user settings. Product being reviewed: Taylor Digital Body Composition Scale, Bathroom Scale for Body Weight, Measures Body Fat, Body Water, and Muscle Mass Percentages, 8 User Recognition, FSA HSA Eligible, 400 lb Capacity, Charcoal This Taylor scale works well and seems fairly accurate (compared to recent doctor visit). It came with batteries installed- just pull the plastic tab. Taylor has been making scales like this for years, and I'm confused why it's still so hard to make a usable interface that doesn't require referencing the manual every time. I don't use the scale often enough to remember what random buttons to press. Once you have it setup for yourself and it's only you using it, I guess all you need to do is stand on it. However, it supports up to 8 people, which means you'll need to remember how to change it back to yours each time. Also, you need to remember which result is which when it plays them back for you (it doesn't just say "Body Water Percentage" for example). Maybe I'm being too picky with this, but it does seem rather frustrating that Taylor can't seem to make a scale with a modern interface. Last note is this is a shiny glass scale, so be prepared for it to get dirty over time and you'll have to clean it more often than you think. Read more
