I bought this scale for baking sourdough bread back in 2020, when COVID 19 hit. I have used it a lot since then and it's a good quality scale. Not super accurate at lowest weights. It has lasted 5 years as my main scale and it has been used a lot. I'm about to buy a new one since the old one's been worn down a lot. Read more

Very nice scale compared to many others. Large base so weight is not obscured by large bowl. 3 min inactivity time-out. Nice responsive touch buttons. Accurate for low weights. Easy to clean. Read more

Let me count the ways this scale disappoints. It has a dead zone from 0-20+g. That is, if one puts something or somethings in this weight range, it may or may not indicate. That alone is enough to trash it as being useful A useful and dependable scale with a 0.1g+/- reading should have a threshold of at least that range, viz., 0.1g. This scale doesn't come close and worse still it is inconsistent as to when it will begin to recognize that a weight has been added. Worthless The scale display will cut itself off at random times. It has no memory. Each weight is therefore transient and unique. If one leaves an object on the scale, it will arbitrarily shut itself off and rezero after an indeterminate time. Worthless. That being said, when I carefully calibrated the scale after allowing it to equilibrate to ambient after a day or so, it seemed to be reasonably accurate with my calibration weights. I was mildly surprised. That is about the only good thing I can say about this cheap piece of junk, other than it is attractive to look at, has a bright screen, comes on quickly, and has a large weigh table. It is not dependable, doesn't have a pull out scale to read the weight of heavy, large objects, and the scale top is not readily removable for cleaning. I bought this to replace my well-used. large capacity workhorse OXO 22lb scale, whose zero button has about been worn out as I can no longer find the OXO scale. So reluctantly, I purchased this scale, though I have a decidedly low opinion of Taylor products in general from years of experience with their crappy thermometers and thermocouples. (I have a long and frustrating history with Taylor including their customer indifference/no service on personal contact.) I should have known better. Shame on me. If one is buying a scale in the first place, it seems that one is interested in accurate (true) weight values and reproducible weights of the same object (precision). This scale is neither accurate nor precise, and it therefore doesn't meet even the most basic requirements of a scale. Why would anyone who goes to the trouble of weighing something want randomly inaccurate, and non-reproducible values? If you are one, who needs a scale for both accuracy and precision (they aren't the same thing; look it up), then look elsewhere. DO NOT BUY TAYLOR JUNK, and DO NOT BUY THIS SCALE. Read more

This scale is an upgrade from our old scale that was soooo tiny! The size of this scale is PERFECT for our meal prepping containers! The scale itself is very accurate in measurements and the screen is easy to read. It’s also slim so it can be stored upright next to our air fryer for easy access when cooking but saves us space on the counter when not measuring! I’d say it’s worth it based on price alone! Cleaning the scale is simple and it’s pretty good quality for the price as well. It’s sleek stainless steel appearance matches our appliances and just works perfectly in our kitchen! Read more

Taylor has always been a great brand for temperature and weight measuring. This scale seems a little touchy. It also shuts off quickly, which can be troublesome when measuring ingredients, and it shuts off if you leave it for a few too many seconds. Read more

I purchased this scale for measuring clay and various powder ingredients I use in my pottery studio. I was a bit skeptical as to the accuracy of the scale given it's very reasonable price. It is very accurate! I have a professional lab scale that I have owned for years that I used to use when I formulated photography darkroom chemicals that is very accurate but only good up to 400 grams. As you can see in my photo, the 200 gram calibration weight (from my lab scale) registers as 199.8 grams. Plenty of accuracy for my uses in the clay studio. Simple to use, hold function is a nice feature for those clay projects that may be larger and cover the display when measuring. A very nice addition to my studio. Read more
