This thermometer appears to work well. And it's large enough that we can see it clearly from the house and it's mounted on our wood shed about 25-30 feet away without an issue. The problem I had is that directions for calibrating weren't included. I looked on the back of the box and the instructions were for inserting a battery for a clock, which made no sense. So it took some time it figure out that I just needed to gently turn the small box where the sensor is. That was it. I don't know what that's not included but... It works. It's easily visible. This thermometer is lightweight, easy to hang and very easy to read from a distance. That was an important point for us. It has a real drawback, though. As many of the reviews state, it is not perfectly calibrated. At cooler temps, it is as much as 5 degrees off, on the high side. At warmer temps, more like 3 degrees. As long as you know what you are dealing with, it’s totally usable. But if you want 100% accuracy, try another product. Read more
