One of the few products left in this world that exceeds expectations from the description. Sturdy, holds heavy my 12.9" iPad with back case on it, but is also great for my smaller devices. Nice tight adjustable easel swivel to secure your iPad in landscape or portrait position, which was exactly what I was looking for. Product is metal but all edges are smooth, so no scratching. Easel folds nicely compact when not using. A must for apple pencil artists! Read more

Just received, and so far it seems sturdy and able to support my iPad Pro 12.9” no problem, albeit at a slightly more tilted angle than the prior TechMatte I had which had a different mechanism for the tilting hinge. The new hinge moves smoothly, whereas the last one requires depressing a button to adjust the supporting piece. I’m hopeful that the TechMatte engineers designed the new hinge to last longer that the prior one, which broke after a year. Still I only paid $13 for the last one, and used it every day and was quite happy with it. Read more

This all aluminum stand is solid, and an overkill for an iPad Air. While it can be folded nearly flat, it is not flimsy. Other viewers note the inability to plug in the lightning cable when the iPad is placed on this stand vertically. However, to accommodate that, you would need a stand that does not fold flat (bulky) or a stand that has two hinges (less solid). Since I use my iPad Air horizontally and require portability, this stand appears to be the best reasonably priced solution. Loses one star because it rocks ever so slightly when opened and deployed. Great sturdy stand made of lightweight aluminum. Folds flat for storage and easily adjustable to individual height. I chose this holder because it is made of durable metal and particularly designed to fit any wide tablet including a protective case. Most alternative tablet/phone holders have a very narrow stand that doesn’t fit any tablet case. I am very happy with my purchase and recommend this holder over any other that I have seen or tested so far. Read more

I was shopping for tablet stands that I could use because I am an illustrator that uses Procreate from time to time. However, this stand is not very sturdy and tends to slide and fall flat if you apply enough pressure. It makes a good stand for display and reading purposes, just not for drawing. Read more

RECOMMENDATION: Thumbs up. I have 6 of these purchased over the past year and they work great. THE GOOD: 1. The stands are aluminum so are not too heavy when moving them around. 2. Unlike the older models, you can adjust these to any angle because they use a friction buckle to control the joint. You just push them into place and they stay in that position well. 3. The tray at the bottom that holds the tablet is rubber with a trough in it which holds the tablet well and keeps it from getting scratched. THE BAD: 1. They are a little big when travelling so I use different stands for that. But overall really like them. Read more

Delightful stand, exactly what I wanted! Holds my iPad and does a much better job than my left hand! As a senior, my hand was getting cramps from holding the iPad, now I use the stand on my nightstand and it’s terrific. Also terrific for when I cook; the iPad is much easier to read on the counter than lying flat! And watching my grandson’s football games on ESPN+ .... as I don’t have cable! Great product, wish I had gotten it sooner! Read more

I bought one before that was ok until the non skid pads came off. Decided to buy it again. This time the hinge was very loose. Won’t hold up my iPad. This was a fail Time to try something else. Read more
