Definitely dont recommend this for any capable person that wants to mix anything thicker than maybe whipped cream. I was actually surprised how much this looked & felt like a toy. I guess maybe you could say the only pros would be the cheap price & that its very lightweight. The low speed was actually more like a medium speed. It splashed thinner liquids haphazardly out of the bowl. I couldn't use a deeper bowl because the beaters are rather short. It struggled to beat softened (almost warm) cream cheese & within 3-5 minutes the body of the mixer got hot enough to slightly warp the plastic edges of the speed control. The manual does say not to run it continuously for more than 3 minutes. For a few bucks more I was able to get a black & decker mixer from Walmart that felt like a real appliance & had nice long beaters & a little box for the attachments that the mixer sits on when not in use. Seems alright, I had 2vgand mixers in my cabinet, both died back to back. I will tell you. They were 20 or more years old. You can see how much cheesier they make them but for $13 not bad. I whipped mashed potatoes easily. Seems to have enough power. Beaters are a lot smaller too. Time will tell on longevity. I give it 4 star rating only on cheaper quality plastics and smaller.
