Does not remember chime setting between power events. Remembers volume though.
If you like the default setting, it'll work fine. They look great. They have the passthrough outlet, but they also manage to clobber a lower outlet. It would be better if they just clobbered one outlet and did not have a pass through in the first place. Read more

Not very stable at all with a 15" laptop
I planned to use this to operate my laptop with a broken screen in clamshell/slabtop mode with an external monitor. Unfortunately, the whole point of this thing is pretty much moot because it will tip over at the slightest provocation. Even though it has a locking adjustment mechanism to extend the gap between the plates so you can use different devices it's just not wide enough to balance the weight of a 15" laptop. Maybe a smaller or lighter one would work. If you have a small device then it will be fairly sturdy because it's made out of solid metal. It's easy to put together too. I just can't recommend it for a laptop stand because the thing keeps tipping over on me. For something else it's probably great. Read more
