We just got new iPhones and quickly discovered they take the USBC charger, whereas our kids have older iPhones that require the lightning charger. These are very basic, but, in my case, a new necessity. I've always had older iPhones with the Lightning plug. I recently got an iPhone 17, which now have a USB-C plug.
