Compact, easy to use and clean! The entire lid comes off the water holding tank. I have had no issue dumping the water. Some reviewers who said they pour the water out of a small hole obviously haven’t taken the lid off and are misrepresenting the product. Opening the lid allows you to dump water and clean the entire tank really easily. This dehumidifier has worked very well for the month I have been using it. This thing works. I recently started renting a 1-bedroom house that I am absolutely in love with, but something in the bedroom was triggering my asthma (dust, mold, cat hair, maybe pollen, who knows). Every night when I’d get into bed my chest would tighten up and I found myself reaching for my rescue inhaler for the first time in many, many years. I got this because I needed a 2-in-1 purifier and dehumidifier because my bedroom gets humid too and my landlords recommended using a dehumidifier. On Day 1, as soon as I plugged in the Sorbi I could feel it doing its job. I have not needed my rescue inhaler once since using it and I’m sleeping so much better now. The controls are very user-friendly and it’s easy to empty and clean the water tank. As far as sound goes, the high setting is fairly noisy (akin to a large fan running next to you) and the low setting is impressively quiet to me, just above a whisper. It does not prevent me from falling asleep at all. I will say the controls are kind of bright at night, so you may want to cover those if you are sensitive to light at night. But maybe I just need to see if those can be dimmed. And I was awoken before by the sound of water dripping into the tank on dehumidifier mode, so I now switch that off when sleeping and only run that part during the day. Great little air purifier and dehumidifier. During the rainy season it can be damp in rooms with old windows. And this unit can clear the bedroom air of mustiness and moisture for a good night rest. The tank is small, but lasts for several days before needing to be dumped. It’s quiet and lightweight and adequate for a single room. Better units out there for dehumidifying large areas, but this one has the hepa filter-not just remove moisture but to clean the air too. Read more
Bought this for my 12'x18' drying room primarily for the dehumidifier function- the air filter was just gravy. Needed to maintain relative humidity at 50%-60%. The humidity inside the room was averaging about 68% due to stormy/humid conditions during that period. Used it continuously and monitored it for 4 or 5 days. In that time, the rH of the room never fell below 66%, and would generally stay at 68% or 69%. After 5 days only 3/4 of a cup of water had collected in the reservoir. Never bothered to see if the air purifier actually made a difference or not- it became moot when it became clear the dehumidifier was 99% ineffective. Returned to Amazon for full refund. Read more
UPDATE 7/10/20: still working great after more than a year which I'm very happy with. Filters get expensive especially if you need to change them alot, depending how dirty the air is. But it's nice to know it's in the filter and not in the air I'm breathing. Definitely recommend this as an affordable air purifier option. I'm so glad I got this. I noticed mold was growing on my windows and window sills. I wanted something to keep the humidity down and also clean the air in my room incase there was any mold spores in the air. Me and my husband also both vape in my room which produces lots of extra vapor in the air along with it being the time of year that water tends to build up on the windows from the cold. I love that this one is an air purifier as well as a dehumidifier. It was the only one I could find in a decent price range that had the air purifier included in the same device. It's definitely helped to keep the humidity down in my room and my windows are staying much drier now. There's still some slight water accumulating on them but it's also winter and they are always worse during this time of year. It has decreased dramatically though which is great. I have emptied the bucket several times already but it holds alot so I don't have to empty it so often that it's annoying. It shuts off automatically when it is full and tells you it needs to be emptied which is a pro. You can also you can use just the air purifier alone, but if you turn the dehumifier on the air purifier comes on automatically. I just hope I am able to order filters for it though, as I saw there were some issues regarding them never being in stock. I shouldn't need one for 5 months or so but I want to have some on hand. So far I have no complaints about this and for the price of it, it's an excellent unit. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a dehumidifier at a good price. Read more
