As a studio rider and new Peloton owner, I didn’t understand why Peloton didn’t already have this extension included in their models. I am 5’2 and when I ride at the studio, I always have the handlebars closer to me to fit comfortably so my back and shoulders are not in pain. Thankfully, I researched to see if there are extensions I could buy separately and am so glad to have found TFD! Quality build and very easy to install, they provide all the appropriate tools and screws and have pictures on their instructions. It’s definitely a splurge attachment, but well worth it for those who do not fit the standard Peloton size. I noticed my rides are a lot less painful, it’s worth the investment! Read more
Love this product! I’m of average size at 5’ 6” but need the extra flexibility due to neck and shoulder issues. Allows me to better adjust the bike seat, relieving stress on my knees, without straining my shoulders or neck. Easy to install, but requires two people. Looks nice. Worth the price. Read more
Super easy to install and high quality adapter. Reasonable price given the cost to set up and manufacture a specialty item with this degree of accuracy. I spend a lot of time on my bike and have had hand pain due to the fact that even though I make an effort not to lean forward, the limitation of the handlebar adjustment gave me no other option, which put pressure on the base of my palm. First, the adapter not only brings the handlebars closer, it raises them a few inches. The combination allows me to sit at a comfortable angle with the bar height at max and the adapter all the way toward the seat. I’m not particularly short, but with the seat height to accommodate my leg length the bars were not a good fit. If you have any issues with bike comfort, I highly recommend trying this device to adjust the handles. Read more
I really like the ability to adjust the handlebar forward and backward however upon installing this device, I noticed that the handlebar now appears to be slightly crooked and pointing a bit to the left. The solid block on the bottom of this unit that installs into the peloton handlebar frame may have been manufactured slightly crooked. While this is annoying visibly, it doesn't affect functionality at all. Read more
It’s perfect for revising the Peloton for short people. The handlebars were just a little too far away and I found myself with frozen shoulder from overreaching. The device is heavy and sturdy and is of the same quality as the bike itself. With the default positioning using the center hole, I thought it stuck out too much over the brake but but there are 2 other holes you can use to adjust it more. At 5’2”, I was able to use the closest hole and closest adjustment setting ‘g’ and it was perfect. If you’re much shorter and need the handlebars closer, the sliding adjustment range might not be enough for you using the closest hole but you could probably get used to the overhang. They probably could’ve designed it so the bottom tray didn’t need to be flush with the sliding mechanism which would get more reach. It seems to be of high quality but doesn’t have the same ceramic coating as the bike so I was worried about rusting. Being right under the handlebars, I could be dripping sweat a lot on it but it could also get it pretty wet when I clean the handlebars themselves with my water spray bottle. I made a little cover for it out of a lightweight, cooling towel to protect it because I didn’t want to test its resistance to rust. It’s a bit expensive but relative to the cost the bike, it’s just incremental. Wish peloton would’ve designed the bike to have something like this. Read more
The media could not be loaded. Unfortunately we installed this after the return window. I’m not sure if we have a faulty product or if this is just what is to be expected. We’ve tightened every possible screw but it hasn’t helped. At times, when standing, it can be very concerning. I’ve attached a video but I don’t feel that it shows just how unsteady the bars are now. Love this product! I am short with lots of years spinning. The extra reach this provides is so helpful in my workout. History of neck and shoulder problems. This totally eliminates the long reach discomfort. Highly recommend this product. Don’t be dissuaded by the sticker price, worth every penny. Super easy install. Read more
I had 50 Peloton rides under my belt before finally splurging on the TFD Adjuster. I am 5'0" with T-Rex arms, when instructors would say to wrap my fingers around the sides of the handle bars I was always puzzled as I could only reach the front of the handle bars. I now understand the role the handle bars play in my rides, I've seen improvements in my form and no longer have back pain post rides. The TFD Adjuster was easy to install, instructions were easy to follow and tools were provided. I highly recommend! Read more
