I have washed the covers by placing them in a bag for delicates, running them on the delicate cycle, and air‑drying them. They come out clean with no shrinkage and are easy to put back on. I am loving my NextSleep back sleeper pillow! I'm super picky when it comes to pillows, and this is perfect for me. First of all, it's comfortable, not too soft, not too hard, just right. I like to put skin creams on my face at night, and this allows me to sleep on my back and not rub the lotion off on the pillow at night. I also fall asleep faster when I'm on my back. I have been in the market for a new pillow for a very long time. I suffer from neck and shoulder pain because I am a back sleeper. I finally found the perfect pillow for me. My neck pain is gone and my sleep pattern has improved. It stabilized my neck, head and shoulders so no more leaning my head to the side putting stress on my neck.I did not detect any initial smell and throughout the night it kept it's shape and felt cool. I've been trying to switch to being a back sleeper, which isn't easy. I've been using a different brand pillow for awhile now, and kept thinking I should try something new to see if I could be more comfortable on my back, and I'm so glad I did! This pillow is amazing, it's incredibly comfortable, it cradles my head perfectly and keeps me from rolling on my side. The absolute best back pillow available! We got a split king adjustable base bed, and I decided I was determined to train myself to sleep on my back. Slightly elevating the top and elevating my feet as far as I could really helped me stay on my back throughout the night, but I found that my neck was so sore from my head dropping to either the right or the left. I started wedging pillows on either side of my head and that helped somewhat, but the pillows would always move throughout the night and it would be the same problem. This pillow keeps my head secured and gives me a place to rest my head slightly to the right or the left. It even comes with an extra pad to make the pillow higher, but I prefer a slim pillow, so I don’t add the extra pad. It also comes with a satin pillowcase that fits it perfectly, and there was a card in the package saying there’s a 100 day Sleep trial included and you could also email to get an extra satin pillowcase. I was surprised when the president and CEO wrote me back immediately asking for my address so he could ship the extra case. Extremely good customer service and a very quality product. As their description states, I did not find any weird smells from the pillow at all, which is amazing. I know it’s definitely on the higher end for a pillow, but I would say it is worth every penny! Purchasing this pillow helped me to finally fall asleep! After a horrible fall (which resulted in breaking my shoulder) left me with very few options to find comfort when sleeping. I tried EVERYTHING and nothing worked. Then, I the discovered the NextSleep back sleeper pillow. The ergonomics of this pillow is unique. It cradled my head in a position that helped me stay in position while sleeping and while my break began to mend. I’ve been using this pillow for almost 1 year and I’m happy to say that it has become the pillow that I use every night (even though my break has healed).
