The First Berserker: Khazan is hands down one of the best Soulslike experiences Iβve had on the PS5. The combat is tight and brutal in all the right ways, with bosses that genuinely push you to adapt and improve. The world is dark, gritty, and beautifully crafted, with an atmosphere that sucks you in and never lets go. Read more

GREAT GAME!!! If you love the souls genre such as Dark Souls 1/2/3, Elden Ring, Bloodborne, Nioh1/2, and so forth.... then you will absolutely love this game! The difficulty for the bosses is tough. Getting to the bosses can be a challenge, but the bosses are on another level. This games bosses are tougher than E.R., Dark souls 1/2/3, etc. The bosses are tougher than most other games bosses. But they are not impossible to beat. You just have to learn their patterns and moveset. Best game to come out since Elden Rings dlc expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree. Once again, if you are like me and love the souls genre then do yourself a huge favor and BUT THIS GAME! If and when you buy it, if you get stuck on a boss, DO NOT GIVE UP! Read more

The First Berserker: Khazan bursts onto the scene with a ferocity worthy of its name, delivering a dynamic, fast-paced combat experience that keeps your adrenaline pumping from the very first encounter. The gameplay is fluid and responsive, blending visceral melee combat with smooth movement mechanics that make every battle feel both challenging and empowering. Whether youβre charging into the fray or dodging a devastating counterattack, the action never loses its intensity. One of the gameβs biggest strengths lies in its impressive variety of weapons. From massive greatswords that crush enemies in a single swing to nimble dual blades that reward precise timing and combos, each weapon type offers a distinct playstyle. This variety not only keeps combat fresh but also encourages experimentation, letting you find the perfect tool to match your preferred approach to battle. On top of that, The First Berserker: Khazan boasts a staggering array of armor sets, each with unique designs and stat bonuses. Whether you want to focus on heavy defense, amplify your damage output, or strike a balance between speed and survivability, the gameβs customization options let you tailor your character to suit your playstyle. The visual designs of these sets are equally impressive, making every upgrade feel like a statement of both power and style. With its engaging combat, rich customization, and satisfying variety of weapons and armor, The First Berserker: Khazan doesnβt just deliver an action RPG experience β it immerses you in a brutal, beautifully crafted world where every choice matters. Combat is one of the strongest points of this game. The world and exploration are a bit on the weaker side, but I have never played a souls-like with such fluid, dynamic combat before. The closest games are Nioh 2 and Sekiro (which are also amazing) - there's optional skill trees where you can invest points in moves like reflection, which act as a full-on parry with high risk/high reward. Like Sekiro, mastering the combat feels challenging but ultimately rewarding. You'll have several "I understand it now" moments throughout the game that really make you feel like you're learning as you go through the game. Because of this, I found the latter half of the game much easier than the early game - an experience that's not necessarily universal, but it also happened with my Sekiro playthrough. Combat seems to reward aggressiveness, and at times, it felt like I was playing a straight-up hack and slash with how "in the zone" you can get with combat fluidity. It's worth it for that alone, but the art style, which I personally found strikingly beautiful, may not be for everyone, and like I said, the maps pale in comparison to the intricacy of a game like Dark Souls. Incredible game. The game is difficult though so Darksouls/Sekiro/Elden Ring veteran's ego may take a blow. There are ways to alleviate the difficulty such as summons or changing the difficulty but even then it can still be challenging . It might be just a bit more difficult than Sekiro. The fighting is great once the skills tree opens up and there are a lot of combos. You will chain attack while parrying. You have to be intentional with every button you click. You need to parry a lot in this game as well. The bosses will take numerous of tries but satisfying once you win. Overall great game. Read more

The cel-shading looks AmAzIngGgGg! The combat is fun too but that cel-shading... Chef's kiss :-* I heard it was harder than Dark Souls, I don't think it is. If your afraid to buy it because you are afraid of the difficulty you can change the difficulty to easy. That is not something you can do in any soulsbourne game. Read more
