The media could not be loaded. Not a lot to say. It throws a long flame to reach where you don't want your fingers. Igniter has a nice strong spark so it lights on the first attempt nearly every time. The adjustment ring is a nice feature that turns easily and the button that isn't hard to press can be locked and unlocked easily. If I had anything negative to say it would be that I feel the casing is ridiculously huge when you know the guts of it must be pretty hollow when it didn't take a lot of butane to fill it. It's nice to have some girth to it so you don't feel like it will break easily, but this could have easily been half the length and half the diameter making it far easier to add to a backpack or camping kit. When it's the size of a flashlight it limits where you can pack or store it. Then of course there's the fact that any torch like this will absolutely plow through butane. I've only used it a couple times as my BBQ igniter gave up the goat this year, but I doubt the tank will last long when the flame is so big but the tank filled way too quickly. Read more

The media could not be loaded. This is a review of the Flintsafe Torch Lighter. This lighter is much larger than I expected it to be. When I first opened the box, I was quite surprised and unsure if I wanted a lighter this large. When I took it out and held it, my first thought was...this feels like the hilt of one of those laser swords you see in some popular movies. Filling this lighter was easy. I turned it over and the bottom has a port for butane. I used a butane canister to fill it with no issue. I do wish there was a window to be able to see how full it was. That's something I consider to be a bonus when present. I did notice that very little butane leaked out when filling, which made this the easiest to fill Butane lighter that I've used. Since the lighter filled quite easily, I wasn't too concerned about knowing if the butane filled it up. Once filled, I was able to try lighting it up. The flame size can be adjusted by rotating the dial that goes around the top of the handle. Clockwise makes the flame larger. It stops turning in either direction when you've reached the minimum or maximum. Right next to the dial is a safety lock. Since there is no cap for this, the safety lock is very important and appreciated. With the flame size dialed up and the safety unlocked, I pressed the thumb button to ignite the flame. Wow, this thing creates a strong, large torch! When ignited, it only made me feel more like I was holding one of those laser swords. As soon as I released the button, the flame went out. I was pleasantly surprised that the lighter itself didn't feel hot. Admittedly, I didn't touch the very tip where the flame comes out, but I did feel around the sides of where the flame was. I felt no heat there, which is fantastic. Know that this lighter isn't for everyone. It is large, and it creates a big torch of a flame. This is not for someone who wants a lighter to throw in their pocket. All of that said, it does match the pictures and description of the product, so I have no major complaints. My plan is to have this with me when I go camping since it should do a fantastic job of getting a camp fire going. The unit itself feels quite sturdy, so I feel like this will last for a while, though time will tell. At the time of this review, the price is at a level that makes this a good value. If you want something that you can bring with camping that makes a large flame, this is a great option. Read more

The media could not be loaded. For $20 bucks it’s good! You just pop it out of the box, gas it up, and use it! We were challenged with getting it filled. It’s hard to know how much gas is in this lighter since it’s not constructed in a way that the gas can be seen. You just have to kind of guess. Other than that, this is a good lighter! You can pretty much light up anything! This torched the top of my crème brûlée desert beautifully! It was nice and hard at the top! Initially I didn’t have a torch to light the brûlée, so I popped it in the oven. This torch lighter is way better than any ovens broiler 🤣. Yea, never going back to not having a torch lighter handy. My wife immediately stole this lighter. I intended to use it as a portable shop blowtorch but she uses it to perfectly light candles and the fireplace. It is a beast that refills with cheap butane containers. A fill lasts for weeks, but it burns extremely hot with a 4 mm wide flame. This thing will light a cigar in one puff. It is about the same size as a small flashlight. It has lit instantly on every press of the button with no misfires. It may be the perfect lighter for our home, and when I need it to I might be allowed to use it as the intended blowtorch. Read more
