This meat thermometer works great and gives quick, accurate readings. It’s very easy to use and takes the guesswork out of cooking meat properly. The display is easy to read, and it feels sturdy and well made. It’s been a reliable kitchen tool and something I reach for often. Definitely a good purchase for the price. Read more

It worked perfectly and was easy to use. I bought this because I was making a standing rib roast for the first time for our Christmas dinner. It's an expensive cut of meat and I didn't want to undercook or overcook it. It was inexpensive and I really liked the fact that you can set the temperature on the display and leave the oven closed until the cooking is complete instead of constantly peeking in on it. It did a great job. I was a bit concerned whether this would work, so I set it just above room temperature and clasped my hand around the probe to warm it up. Sure enough, it started beeping when it hit the desired temp. The cord is long enough to put your meat in the oven and place the stand on the kitchen counter nearby. It does have a magnet on the back, but I didn't try putting it on the oven door. The entire unit is small enough to tuck away in a drawer, as it won't be something we use often. Overall, the thermometer is very easy to use and even has suggested temps for the "doneness" of your meat so you don't have to look it up. I highly recommend it. Read more

I love this thermometer. To be able to plug the probe into the food inside the oven and see the temperature outside of the oven is excellent for the perfectly cooked food. It has a nice, loud alarm when the food hits the proper temperature, and you can set the desired temperature by either hitting an icon for the food type or entering the temperature you want. For instance, if you want the perfect chicken, it must be 165 degrees for safety, but you can set it to 160 degrees and allow the chicken to sit outside of the oven as it will continue to cook until it hits the right temperature without drying out. It gives you total control. It is battery operated, so convenient for use. It has no wireless connectivity, but since you would be close at hand as you cook anyway, it's not a limitation. The temperature change speed is excellent, and the item seems durable. It fits nicely on the counter, or you can click it onto something metal with the magnet on the back. Read more

Works great. Button interface is not intuitive so some room for improvement. Read more

This is a great thermometer. We can actually put the probe in our meat, set the temperature, put in the oven and the temperature reader on the counter and let it cook. It beeps when done. Read more

This food thermometer works as advertised and the best thing is the alarm is plenty loud so you can hear it when it’s time to take food out. I’ve seen other ones that you had to sit right on top of it or keep checking it because alarm is so faint. Read more

The first use was baking a bone-in chicken breast. Selecting poultry on the device, the recommended temperature is 165 degrees. After almost an hour @ 425 degree oven temperature with the probe inserted into the thickest past of the meat, the device indicated 169 degrees. Thinking it was done according to the temperature registered by the probe, I removed it from the oven, let it rest, then using a large fork I went to pick it up to transfer it to a cutting board. The fork stuck blood. Using an instant read thermometer it registered 128 degrees. The chicken breast was pretty much raw. And dangerous to eat. A waste of money. I'll stay with the instant read thermometer that I know is accurate. Addendum: On May 18 I was supposed to receive a refund of $23.53 for this item. According to Customer Service pages a refund of that amount was"to original payment method" which would have been a credit card. As of Jun 10, 2024 there has been no refund posted to that particular credit card. I contacted the vendor, they passed it off to amazon. I spent 2 hours trying to find out what happened to this refund by poring over the Amazon website, being referred to click on icons that did not appear on the directed page. Finally, I Googled the Customer Service phone number (is was nowhere to be found on the Amazon website) After 10 minutes of an automated "help" system I spoke with a representative where I had to repeatedly correct her assertion that the refund had been issued to my credit card when it was not so. she finally said it was credited to my Amazon Awards Points. So why print that is was credited to my credit card? Tell me where it went. awards Points are fine, but tell the customer where their refund went to. As for this vendor, after the initial review they contacted me to try to correct this situation. I told them not to bother as I had thrown it away as garbage. The vendor issued the refund but when I inquired as to where the refund was sent, they blew me off to amazon who led me on a wild goose chase. This thermometer is junk. Go elsewhere. Read more
